From what I have heard he is supposed to be somewhere in the graveyard district. I have torn that place apart looking for him. I cleaned out bodhi's area. The spider area. The tomb south of the spaider area. All the above ground tombs. And he is nowhere to be found. Where is he??

Note that Arledrian only shows up under the Graveyard district if you side with the Shadow Thieves and get the quest to search for him from Aran Linvail. After that, you have to talk to Gaelan, find Arledrian's journal and decipher it before you can trigger the encounter where Arledrian is fighting the vampires.

If you did all that and still can't find Arledrian then it might be due to a bug or a mod conflict. In any case, please post the contents of your WeiDU.log.

What is the best reward you can get? Should I turn him to the shadow thieves , or should I hide his identity?

Low hung brow, dazed look on your face..... It appears that you are correct, my friend. You are indeed a complete imbecile.

It's mainly a role-playing choice.

You get a few extra gems from Gaelan if you tell him the truth about Arledrian, but that's about it.

Just chipping in with some unsolicited feedback--in the conversation with Gaelan, the conversation option to search Arledrian's room feels very out of place because it uses a Mass Effect-type trope, putting "[Insight] - " in front of the option (presumably because I have high Wis or Int?) instead of just having it appear normal like all other conditional dialogue choices in the core game.

Personally I love it; it's a bit of a throwback to how BG1 dialog options worked (a lot more dialog options simply weren't available if your non combat stats like CHA or INT weren't high enough), something that enhances the RP aspect of what's supposed to be a RPG but has gotten watered down in BG2 compared to BG1. The fact that it shows 'Insight' etc simply means the game is letting you know this is the case, as opposed to the default game behavior where conversation branches were expanded/denied without the player being necessarily aware of it.

There's elements of this abundantly present in the Chosen of Cyric encounter component of the mod as well; one of the best written as well as tactically challenging encounters I've seen in BG2 mods.

Again, I think all of it is a really nice touch, a tip of the hat to folks who might not run PCs with 3's in WIS/INT/CHA covered by the Ring of CHA18. The game could use a lot more mods like this rather than the ones that simply throw uber monsters and massive magic items gallore at you without any style points. :new_thumbs:
