Well here it is folks. Completely mixed and made into an 1.5 hour long Opera. (yes you read right)

ACM to small WAV, then mixed and edited by yours truly. (HUGE Core Wav files were recorded at 1024 kbps, etc.)
Cut/Revised,, compacted then used creative studio using a visual tab to ensure a perfect flawless mix and finally into mp3 format.
Oh and this did take me 2.5 months to accomplish. All content from;

Baldurs Gate, Shadows of Amn, Throne of Bhaal, Icewind Dale and Planescape Torment.

Two files
Part 1 and Part 2, both at 256 kbps, 44 khz.

It tells a story on it's own. If you liked the music, then you will LOVE this. If you Read, you'll find it excellent music to read by!

Enjoy, PS ...Damb I'm good, lol.

Part 1, 80.82 MB : Baldurs_Gate_Opera_by_Bereth_Darkides.mp3

Your links to the downloads dont work.

And the reason why, was the three dots.

So there was a rescue:Part 1, part 2. But now that the first post is updated... :whistling:

Both clicking the links in the first post and copying and pasting the text of the links into a new window do not work.

You need to know how to do that. Did you try these:

Part 1, part 2.

If you still can't get through, then you are either blogging the entrance to http://rapidshare.com/ , or they do it for you...

When I try the FREE download option, I get this:

Your IP address 198.54.202.146 is already downloading a file. You have to wait until it is finished.
Premium-accounts can download many files at the same time. Get your own premium-account now. Instant download-access!

I'm not downloading anything. My modem is doing nothing right now. Any ideas what's happening?

Did you download the first before this happened, because if you did, you just need to wait for some time(for me it was about 1/2 hour) as the free server doesn't have much free service bandwith so it gives you a time you need to wait before you can download the other part.

I haven't downloaded anything. I restarted my computer just in case, tried again, and this time got a message that I had exceeded my download limit! There was a message at the bottom of the screen that I should try again in 85 minutes. I'll do that.

I would be happy to pay the small fee for a 48-hour premium service to get this most interesting looking music, but hey ho... guess which country in this part of the world doesn't support PayPal. As for using the direct money transfer, South African banks take up to five days to clear foreign exchange payments. All bankers are more evil than all moderately to very evil people. (Hope nobody here is in banking.)

EDIT, addendum: For free file transfers up to 100MB I use YouSendIt.com ; it seems to be pretty quick and ready for use just about all the time.

Ah it's like a musical story compliation. No words, but each track hand picked to flow with each other. It tells the story of your imagination, since there is no text file or dialogue to go with the music.
Nice work. [I've done the same thing to other music!]. Still, I was really expecting someone to break out into song since you called it an opera ;p Thought maybe you had remixed the voices somehow, or sung yourself :P
"If you Read, you'll find it excellent music to read by!" I guess that should have been the clue~!

Thanks again though~ enjoying it.

Nope, that download site doesn't like me.

It counted down from 1.9 minutes to 0, then switched to the file download page. I entered the Captcha code, lcicked, and it told me for the fourth time since last night that I am already downlaoding a file from the site. Blehhh....

If you can't download it still, try this link :

I uploaded part 1 to 4shared.com for you~

It takes a minute to load the download link, but hopefully this works!

Thank you, thank you! It's downloading right now.

I am continually overwhelmed by the extent to which SHS people go far out of their way to make things easy for other members. You are too kind.

Terrific job! My congratulations and appreciation. It must have taken you a huge amount of time to extract and convert all of the tracks.

Ermm... Part 2? Might you, um, also make it available through 4shared.com, please, if you still have any bandwidth left?

One of the first things I did after starting BG1 was look for playable music files on the CDs. The game music is definitely one of the wonderful facets of BG, BG2 and everything Jeremy Soule composed for. It is super to have it all in this form. It is eminently iPodworthy, too.

Jeremy Soule must surely rank among the best composers of modern music. I actually prefer him to most 20th century composers.

And so... when are you going to do IWD? ;)

EDIT: Ah, right. I should learn to read and listen. The IWD flute told me to concentrate better.
