Hi there!

I encountered a major problem with one of the mods (Weimer's Ritual mod). In that quest there is an amulet (Lillith Amulet), which gives the wearer vampiric protections. This is a cursed item, and its downside is that it makes the wearer to go berserk every time he/she is attacked. I checked the .itm and .spl files responsible for this effect, and everything says it works "while equipped". The major problem is that when I managed to remove the cursed item with a Remove Curse spell, the berserk effect was still there! This means that every time my character is being attacked (or even is one of the party members is attacked) he goes berserk, and attacks every creature, including party members. The effect seems to be permanent, I tried to wait until it expires, but it won't (the character goes back to "green", but every time a new combat starts, he goes back "yellow").
I already tried almost everything I've had in my mind, but everything is useless:
-I gave an item to the character, that makes one immune to the berserk effect - no use.
-I tried to dispel the character with Dispel Magic - no use.
-I re-equipped the cursed item, then removed it again - no use.
-I tried to wait or sleep for the effect to expire - it is still there.

My only hope is that there is a way to remove such an effect from an NPC. I checked the game with ShadowKeeper, but I don't understand its "State Flags" option (there is something about berserking on this character). If anyone has ANY idea how to remove this CURSE from the character, it would be highly appreciated, for this thing completely ruins my game.

Thanks,
TGM

This may be a bit of surprise, but I'm one of the few people here that don't know how to do things like "CTRL-R" :rolleyes: . No matter how much I've played with this game, I never used such things, and I never used CluaConsole either :lol: . Simply never needed to learn that.
Now, since things are different this time, I would ask someone to tell me how this all works:
-What exactly is CTRL-R and how can I do it?
-How can I activate/use the CluaConsole?

Thanx for any help on this one and my actual problem with the berserking effect!

Umm.. I know my last request seems to be a bit of tiresome, but PLEASE, someone... <_< It wouldn't be that big deal to give me a few hints on how I can use the thiongs mentioned above. Or if anyone knows of a small "tutorial" on this one, that should suffice as well. This is very important to me, so please give me any comments!

Open up your Baldur.ini file and type under Program Options:

DebugMode=1

Save and close.

You can do a search at any of the of the forums for exactly how to do this and use the Console.

Start up your game and you can now use the Control keys.

Ctrl+R = Heal
Ctrl+Y = Kill
Crtl+J = Move to point
Ctrl+7 = Rotate Avatars

etc.

Things look quite bad - trying to heal the NPC or remove by any means I know of didn't worked :( . The NPC (Sarevok) still goes berserk every time he sees combat, thus making himself almost useless.

Any other ideas???

The line in Baldur.ini should read
Debug Mode=1
Note the space between the words. This *is* case sensitive... Copy-paste it into the file. If this still doesn't work, hit Ctrl - Space - it should bring up a console at the bottom of the screen. If this works, type in it:
CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys()
Note again that it is case sensative.

I already HAVE it enabled. Thats not a problem. The thing is, that even using the console I cannot remove that damn berserking from the character. CTRL-R won't help.

I already tried that as well.
When I open the saved game with SK, and take a look at the "State Flags" option, it states:

* Berserk: 0x00000002 *
What does this mean? Is this value editable?

Restart a game and recruit Sarevok, make 2 saves.
On one save give him the amulet and equip it.
Compare the 2 saves in Shadow Keeper and eliminate the differences, you should now have your smoking gun.
