Getting back on topic...

I went by cmorgan's implication and reinstalled the BG2 banterpack after the fixpack, tweakpack and UB.  This seems to have cleared up the problem.

Okay, I hope everyone has had enough flaming for now, as I for one am more than a bit tired of it. JCompton is in the process of adding BGT-compatibility to the PPG Banter Pack, which is the solution everyone wants. If anyone feels they absolutely need to get the last word in, write a mod about it.

That is because I do not know if v7 or above is compatible or not, and I haven't had any advice as such. It is probably better to refer to the BWP list, as that has more up-to-date information.

In future, please start a new topic instead of resurrecting a 3-year old topic.
