Bevil showed up at the Keep and when I talk to him, there's no sound and on top of that the text plays by so fast I can barely read it. Then I got into MotB and my main man had no voice at all! Oh and for some reason Bevil became a deserter, even though I was a goody good the whole time and I really liked him.

I thought I was the only one with that bug -- loss of Bevil's voice that is. Just like you've described, his talks in text skips really fast as well. But I haven't accounted any of your other problems. Bevil ended up working at my keep and also I have no problems in MotB.

Bevil's voice/rapidly scrolling text is a problem with the Bishop Romance. The author says fixing it is on the to-do list.

I think Bevil always becomes a deserter with BR installed, unfortunately. I think there's something that's supposed to happen in that cutscene that doesn't happen in the changed version.

Actually, I have BR installed and Bevil still decided to stay at crossroad keep and become a commander or something...

As long as your influence with Bevil is 5 or so, Bevil will come to work at the keep. That isn't the desertion that the other poster was talking about. It's the epilogue one, where on the one hand, he could have led legions in the service of Neverwinter, striving to emulate his role model, the Shardbearer, and on the other, he deserts Neverwinter and leads a life of shame and anonymity.

The first time through, I got the "good" Bevil epilogue. The second time through, after installing the Bishop Romance, I got the "deserter" Bevil epilogue, despite the fact that everything else was the same. Either the outcome is random, or something else is going on. Only the author can say. Maybe if I get a chance later, I'll ask on Bishop's forum.
