Whenever attempting to install a new mod that I made, the executable file seems to require that the file X\backup\0\
UNINSTALL.0 already be present in order for the backup command to work.

None of the WeiDU mods that I've ever downloaded has this file distributed with it, and they all install perfectly. If it matters, here's the first line from my TP2:
BACKUP ~RItemPack/backup~
According to everything I've seen, that is the correct format. The error given by the setup program is:
WARNING: unable to open [RItemPack/backup/0/UNINSTALL.0]: Sys_error("RItemPack/backup/0/UNINSTALL.0: No such file or directory").

The RItemPack directory does exist, as that is where the files the WeiDU copies are located. These all copy fine, except for one, which I have no idea why. I created this TP2 using the automate command, then just added the backup and component information to the top, so I would think it should work fine.

I'm using WeiDU v1.24

Did you manually uninstall a mod that was already installed?

My guess is that WeiDU.log still has a mod that is listed inside of it and it's just not there anymore. The simple solution is to just delete WeiDU.log. (As long as you have no other mods installed that you care about.)

The elegant solution would be to find the mod that's causing the problem and just delete that line from WeiDU.log.

Nope.

I deleted WeiDU.log and am still getting the exact same error lines.

Did you create a backup directory inside of the RItempack directory?

WeiDU doesn't automatically create the backup directory for you. That's why mods have the backup directory pre-made.

Just worked after doing that.

Thanks for the help. I think I'm starting to get the hang of this.
