Chris Avellone was the lead designer for the popular Knights Of The Old Republic II: The Sith Lords video game as well as the writer for quite a few Star Wars comics.

Chris graciously agreed to be interviewed about anything from his work with Kotor II, the comic series “Clone Wars Adventures”, some of which he wrote, other comics, and even Kotor III!

Thanks for the upload...

I gotta say the future of this franchise looks pretty bleak right now, with LucasArts not interested in making another game (at least at the moment or even in the foreseable future) and Obsidian will and has obviously moved on from the franchise (much like Bioware has). Forget the horizon, KotOR III isn't even on the radar screen...

The only hope I have is after The Force Unleashed in done, then maybe in 09 they'll sit down and start taking about it instead of blantantly ignoring this proven winner of a franchise. Because let's face it, by now if they wanted to a fourth game could've been released.

I (like all of you I'm sure) am just tired of the rumors, the false hopes, the dodged questions, the maybes, the what if's, the we don't know yet, everything that by now is starting to piss the fans off (or at least myself)...either come right out and say 'Yes, we are making a third game' or kill all these bloody rumors and simply say 'No, were not'.

All we get is 'We don't know yet' or mixed messages like 'KotOR will not be left behind'...well then where the hell is it?

Seriously, next year LucasArts needs to pull their thumbs out of their ass and start work on this neglected and long overdue third game...time is no longer an excuse for them. They have the tools to put it together, now its time they do so.
