Im not sure if this is an appropriate place to ask about this but i couldnt think of naywhere else offhand.
I have had BGII for about a ear now andive been playing it on and off. Recently i started downloading mods for it so ive been playing more. Anyway, my friend and i wanted to play mulitplayer so i tried to uninstall the mods and it screwed up. So i uninstalled BGII, but now when i put the CD in again, the autoplay opens and it gives me the option to play, not to install (clicking play doesnt work because there's nothing there...) and so i opened up the CD and clicked the 'setup' icon in the cd and it said 'would you like to remove this component blah blah" and if i click yes it just brings up this installation screen which immediately goes to 100% and closes. So i cant install baldurs gate 2! Can someone please help me?

I've had this before, its a problem with your registry I'm led to believe. In my case, my anti-virus software took it upon itself to re-organise my pathways. Do you have ToB?
If so, uninstall that then reinstall it. This will then allow you to uninstall the whole lot.
Failng that, you might have to edit the registry manually.

Speaking of modding, I listened to IER 3 yesterday, so you can have another quote for your signature: how come you sound so damn cool, as well as look it? It's unfair. Seriously.
Still a cyberjock, still hacking the matrix, still unsure of what that means.

thanks, but i have nothing to install ToB onto, bgII is gone.
so how do i edit the registry. I seem to remember doing it once, but i cant rememberr
type regedit in the run box, but thats all i can rembember...

yeah, that allowed me to reinstall BG2, which i then had to uninstall and reinstall due to the wrong version still!
