Hello,
I'm not sure which of the 3 Quinn packs this pertains to, but I just thought I'd note the following.

I started playing Planescape torment today after a long break and noticed that on every level up TNO gains a characteristic point. In other DnD games these points only occur every four levels. Surely this is a bug the needs fixing?

By the way, I am running torment with 1.1, all three of Quinn's packs, and the cities explored component of the g3 mod.

I only installed the following from the tweak pack:

Banter Accelerator (STRONGLY recommended)
Maximized Hit Points per Level for TNO and Party
Maximized Friends Spell
Stackable Rings, Charms, Bracelets, Scrolls
Scale of Souls
Class/Armor Balancing Tweak
Save Nordom!

That isn't a bug. It really is intended, and is in fact one of the cooler things about this game.

A few things need to be noted here: (minor spoilers, but I believe you can get most of this information in the manual)

1. PS:T is based on 2nd edition AD&D, not 3.0 or 3.5. In 2nd edition, you didn't even get a characteristic point every 4 levels - you -never- got any. TNO, however, is a very special case... he has lived a -very- long time, and the main reason he has "average" stats at the beginning is due to his loss of memory. As he is gaining levels, he is also remembering skills and traits that he'd developed over the centuries. Yes, by the end of the game, he can have several relatively godlike attributes, but considering he's been immortal a very long time, he's had time to earn them.

2. This is not the only way TNO is special. His ability to change classes is also quite unique. You start off as a fighter, but you will gain access to new classes as the game progresses, and be able (with a trainer's help) to switch back and forth between them.

3. You only gain a stat point every time you gain a -new- level, a level you hadn't reached in any of your 3 classes before. Gaining a level you'd already reached in another class doesn't get you a point. So no, you can't just get all 3 classes up to level 10 in order to get ~ 30 stat points.

4. You will also be able to get quite a few stat points from dialogues and items throughout the game.
