I am in the Underworld after Spellhold and I found early a new map area on the left so I thought it might be good to explore it. There were several enemies like Kuo-Toa and some Drows in front of a door which wasn't hostile after first sight which I find a little bit weird but they attacked me so I killed them all. After cleaning the area I went back to main underworld and find the silver dragon which converts me to Drows and send me to the portal I guess. The problem is there is no one who can now open the door now at least it seems so. Since my last save game is a long time ago before killing the demon I am asking if there is another possibility to open the gate to the drow city if the guards are killed?

Don't worry. That door leads to the surface - you'll be able to open it after clearing out Ust Natha, which is towards the North East of the main Underdark map. Come out of Adalon's lair and head right(ish) and you'll come to the Ust Natha entrance.
