Does the dual-class behaviour work at all in vanilla BG2:ToB? BGT doesn't really change the rules in any way. There is a possibility it may be a bug due to the change in starting XP though, but I'm not sure.

I recall in the past before I started playing BGT I would play NEJ2v42b along with BGII-SoA and would dual class Imoen to a mage when she hit level 10 Thief. She would always retain her original class Thieving abilities upon reaching Level 11 mage, so it worked under those circumstances.

What do other languages say for Fenten's line [about taking all/every ankheg shell/s]?


Also, since cmorgan hasn't gotten back to me yet, the Coran and Wyverns exploit won't be addressed.

Italian literal translation:

"I will pay you 250 pieces of gold for each Ankheg head you bring me."

And I must say, it does make much more sense than paying only once for all the heads.

The confusing thing is whether BioWare intended to use the word 'all' in the dialogue and code in TakePartyItemAll("MISC12"). Both of these are consistent with each other. The only problem was the exploitation by triggering the dialogue over and over again with single shells in the inventory and the rest of them at the feet of Fenten. Now we have an additional problem in working out whether the translators got it wrong (at least German and Italian), which I am thinking is the case here.

What's the BG1 Fixpack stance on Fenten?
Any other comments from other languages?

This problem might be because of coding doesn't take account that the shells are now stackable, as they weren't in the original, thus it's a moding created problem.

@Jarno: Which mod makes them stackable? In vanilla BGII they are not stackable, and BGT doesn't make them stack.

Well,

the BG1 GTU didn't modify the Fenten string (15160 = ~Fine work. I'll pay you 250 gold for all of your ankheg heads.~) because there is no real proof that the developers didn't intend things to be like that.

Personally I find lump sum payments strange business but that's just me (italian and german translators must've thought the same).
