Everytime I want to play a game of Bg1/2/both on a computer which dosent have it, I collect all the mods and stuff and somewhere I screw up, I never make a backup because I convince myself I don't need it, so I install again and say "It'll work this time" only I've done something wrong again so i have to reinstall, when will I learn!? I just did it again while setting up BGT, I gotta go get those discs out again.... So other stupid things done while installing the games?
PS. On a side note, I had a problem in my BGT version of kicking people out of the party and they wouldnt acknowledge it, theyd be out of the party but they would still (with the BG1 npc) talk to you as a party member and without it, just ignored you like vanilla party members. I'm pretty sure this is caused by not installing the BG1 patch when i installed BGT or something else i can fix on the reinstall, but any tips?
Phew, my post-script is almost longer than my actual topic...

Not while installing the games, but I was once installing a megamod installation, got to the *last* mod in the list and accidentally clicked on one of the *first* WeiDU mods I had installed. The program automatically uninstalled every single component that I had installed between the two points, then shoved them back on. That took *ages*.
Afterwards, I booted the game up and decided to play some SoA. Check the Bodies started up, and every single line of dialog was... wrong. From the start to the end of the flashback, every single line of dialog actually belonged to one of the Nalia romance mods. It was a good thing I had installed Fast Forward, as that allowed me to skip past the boring chores.
Unfortunately, even the ambush was affected. The previously-serious scene turned into what can only be described as a melodramatic love affair between Charname, Gorion and Sarevok, as the floating text was butchered and replaced with Nalia's "romantic" whinging.

What happened to me was that I forgot the 26498 patch after a few hours installing mods.
After an eternity away from you all, I've returned.

Heh. I've done that at least three times over the years. It's hard to top that as "stupidest", but I've also spent hours figuring out why a mod wasn't working when the readme specifically said to install it first. What happened to me was that I forgot the 26498 patch after a few hours installing mods.
Every spelling error above is not my fault, and I should not be counted liable for such.
