Mmm... So attetion-whorish little me decided to create yet another thread to spam with my images, this time it's character concepts, bot more defined and sketchy.
Didn't want to put it in the same thread as BLS as I'm planning to do quite a few; out of artistic juices for bigger projects, so I'm thinking i'll just sharpen my sketching skills for a while, and I don't want to clutter the comci thread.
As for my other pic threads, methinks they're kinda heavy with clutter already... xP

And then, some sketches with Khal & Jahs. Jaheira Wasn't too hard to catch, but Khalid is still a bit elusive...
I wanted to draw them a bit clsoer to canon than I did, but I didn't quite want to dump my idea of harper terrorists either, so I'm thinking they'll both be wearing cloaks of some sort and hmm. o-o

Here's Mr. CHARNAME, or Okarik. Otherwise ok, just a few issues with anatomy and perspective...

The figure on the background needs an edge outside the circle, as... it reminds me of a Pokemon ball or what ever it was, a bad thing for a +25 year old-er.

On the Khal sketch 1, I think that the left one is great, but you might want to rethink a bit. Plus the all yellow, might have to be changed...

The face went a bit masculine, but I guess that's not so unlike her. xP
Also I'm not quite sure of how I should draw her hairstyle... Hmmm...

I like the way you've drawn Jaheira, she looks more a fighter than a druid thoug (but she's a fighter/druid so I guess it's ok)
Khalid sketch # 2 is better imho, sketch # 1 looks like Vampire Hunter D ;-P

Sooo, I decided to turn this into a general sketch thread; my old sketch thread is just full of below-all-ratings stuff, so don't want to resurrect it. On the other hand, inspiration comes and goes....
So this time, I bring you a... bothersomely clustery nuclear explosion, done with pencil + eraser, and what I at first intended as a sci-fi Eddie (didn't tunr out flamey enough though).

I like how you construct the characters. Like you can really break down the form with your sketches. I also noticed you do a lot of connecting lines with the clothing style for most of them (horizontal lines). Me likey, me want more

Actually, I'm using GIMP.
I would PREFER photoshop, but ah well, once you get used to it, the gimp works quite fine.

Hey, don't dis the GIMP. That's a mighty fine program, that it is. I does use it all the time, meself .

I think the different shades of green give the pic juuust the right atmosphere .

And thanks! That's what I was kinda hopign for; I didn't really pay as much attention to details as the general feel!.


And: Here's something somewhat more detailed, I need to keep myself convinced that I'm still capable of focusing on detail too.

@ Legion: did you use a particular effect for the chainmail and the belt in the last pic of yours? They look 'different', more detailed compared to the rest of the pic ;-)
