I'm relatively new to this game and forum, but I was wondering if anybody else sees many parallels between this game and the story in the movie "Total Recall".

In both, there's a bad guy who loses his memory, fights for good, and (at least in my games) when he finally realizes who he really is, still decides to be a good guy and save the day.

Oh, squiggly line in my eye fluid. I see you lurking there on the periphery of my vision. But when I try to look at you, you scurry away. Are you shy, squiggly line? Why only when I ignore you, do you return to the center of my eye? Oh, squiggly line, it's alright, you are forgiven.

They both have the amnesia aspect in common, and they are both of the same genre but I think that's about it. Maybe the sci-fi buffs here could find other links?

That's a pretty good comparison. Even better if you consider the Jedi Order to be the Resistance in Total Recall.

The main difference is that in the movie the brainwashing/memory wipe is done by the bad guys with evil intentions. In the game it's just the oppposite, there's a 'redeeming' aspect to it.

Both have a woman closely keeping tabs on the protagonist and both have a quest for a technological device created long ago by an alien race.

It's a pretty neat comparison though, isn't it? I was just daydreaming and noticed quite a few similarities.

Thanks for pointing out a few more, and of course, it's not a perfect comparison. :)
