Help, i'm stuck

Hello,

I just wanted to finish SoBH Part 1, as a part of my mega-modification. I nearly did everything, except the marti-quest, cuz i lost the letter :) I returned the black pearl and went into the mansion. The baron is hostile and attacks me, so i had to kill him. Then I went to Pelltar, to get home. But I can just tell him, that I killed the thief and about the overlords. Then i can just lick "no valid replies or links" in the textbox and after that Pelltar just asks "did you find anything yet", my only answer "No, i'm not done"(at least in German).
Is the baron always hostile? I pickpocket his daughter, arabella?, once, but it was succesful and nobody noticed anything. Even the baron was still friendly. after the pickpocket-thing.

The Baron should not be hostile unless you did something. I am not sure of everything that will make him go hostile. Did he ask you to leave earlier? Did you have the book about working for the Overlords with you when you talked to Peltar? You might try going to an earlier save and replay the last bit of Bonehill (no need of ever talking to the Baron again).

I remember this happened in the 2.10 version. I am not sure about the newest version but it was due to the Baron having a script which was the same as Gaal from the Unseeing Eye bit in BG2. Something would cause the UNSEEINGEYE Global to set to 1 (whichever Global makes the Unseeing Eye guys hostile) therefore a bug would be initiated in the BG2 quest as well as a hostile Baron.

I never got to find out how the Global got set in Bonehill anyway and it may be fixed in 2.20.

I asked Pelltar once to leave earlier, but just because I hit the wrong dialogue. Then he asked something like: "are you sure?" and I answered, no I want to stay and do some more research. Well, I didn't have any problems until now :(

You may need to go back to an earlier save. But I think it will work right where you're at. I'll have that dialog patch incorporated into the SoBH dialog update for it's next release as well.

The baron gets hostile, when I kill Sirius. Before that he is as usual.
