Hi There.
This is the first time I'm playing Planescape, and I'd like to remove the Easter Egg Morte and Power Leprechaun Annah mods. (Didn't really know what I was installing when I installed the tweak pack :-) )

My problem: Running Setup-PST-Tweak.exe fails. It complains that it cannot find an infinity engine directory.
This most likely has to do with the fact that i'm playing PS:T through wine(& linux). (Somehow, the initial install of the mod went fine.).

So what I need is some instructions on how to _manually_ remove the above mods.

Could anyone please help.
/Martin

Urf. That's really strange. Is the Setup-PST-Tweak.exe file still in your normal Torment directory? Weird.

Anyway, what you can do is this:

Go look in the subfolders under PST-Tweak called LeprechaunAnnah and EggMorte. In them are a bunch of .BAM, .WAV and .BMP files. Luckily for you, I make very few Fixpack or other mod changes to these kinds of files (though there -are- a few, so don't just remove them all). You need to delete the files in your override directory that share names with the files in those two folders. That should do it for ya.

Yes i run it in my normal torment directory. It's wierd. I can attach the output if you're interested.

Anyway, what you can do is this: [ blah blah blah...]

Great. Thanks! I'll try it out!

tolower + linux WeiDU = your friends. Windows WeiDU misbehaves with Wine.

Download the latest version of WeiDU for Linux from weidu.org and extract (at least) the WeiDU, weinstall and tolower executables in a $PATH directory (E.G. /usr/bin).
Following that, open a terminal, cd to your PST installation directory, run `tolower' and answer Y to both queries.
You can avoid running the second option (linux.ini) if you've already ran it once in the same directory. To save time, the archive is already tolowered, so there's no need to run the first option (lowercasing file names) either if you've extracted only this mod since the last time you lower cased file name.
If you're unsure, running tolower and choosing both options is the safe bet.
After that, run 'weinstall pst-tweak' from your PST installation directory to install or uninstall the mod.

Heyas thebigg :)

The scripts themselves don't need to be referring to all files in lower case, do they? :/

No, WeiDU translates them on the fly. (bat/sh scripts need to be lowercased, but you don't use them anyway).

Sweet, thanks :)

BTW, back when I asked you about engine patching, I came up with IMO a pretty slick way of doing major engine patches easily and cleanly, if you have need of such a thing let me know and I'll share.

WSM uses so many WeiDU quirks and unintended features that I'm not going to alter it without major need.

I've got the same problem on the new DVD release of planescape, patched fine but won't let me uninstall the mods. I'm running the game on PC as well.
