Hi all,
First of all I cannot guarantee anything worthwhile will come out of this. I consider the paladin kits rather stale compared to other class kits. All the other classes have kits that sacrifice one aspect in favour of another aspect of the class. That can hardly be said about paladins. I figured I might as well try to make my own kit - the only surefire way to get it the way I want it. The current class concept sacrifices generic warrior traits in favour of the holy champion aspects.
To the point. When I alter the paladin spell progression 2DA I experience some pretty weird behaviour. If a fifth column is added you get 5th level spells, but the 4th column is ignored. The pattern repeats - the first three columns and the last are preserved. Now the odd thing (to n00b me at least) is that the game doesn't just ignore any column beyond 4th level spell or at the least interprets the last column as 4th level spells. It makes me wonder if the paladin class has been hardcoded to only have 4 spell levels.
Any information would be highly appreciated.
Yours,
Brian Eriksen

Something seems to be wrong with your 2da then. Not sure if it's the cause, but - are your new columns numerated properly? I mean that they should be 123456, not 123444 (the latter can be missed when one is copying columns in DLTCEP, I did it myself a couple of times).

I generated the file from Near Infinity, feeling I should get the strings and ends together before I throw myself at implementation. I just unstalled the game allowing me to start from scratch without any interferrence so to speak.
I did use proper enumeration and as stated I did get the correct amount of castings of the highest spell level - which struck me as odd.
I'll try again later. Reassurance that it is a bug somewhere in my end is a good motivation.
