I was planning my next BG2 runthrough today and I thought about playing a mage (just because I never did). And since I want to bring Keto along and don't need another mage, I ended up looking for a romanceable male non-magic user... and i found none. That's it, none. Seems that the modding community has a knack for mages, hasn't it?

And that's what I'm asking for. Have I overlooked something? Is there even a single one romanceable male non-mage?

Yeah, I know about Kivan, but I've always thought this wasn't a full romance. Now I've read the readme and might give it a try - but still I'm not sure if I can steal him from Deheriana, he's such a dedicated person... :) But thanks anyway, Kulyok.

Any other ideas, please?

Anomen? Chloe? Imoen? Sarah?

OK, so maybe the comunity has a knack for lesbians as much as one for mages.

Except for Kivan, non-magical ones aren't finished yet. Sure, it sucks.
And no, this isn't self promotion. There's quite a few in-progress loverboys around. :P

If you don't count divine magic, there's Anomen.

I simply can't stand Anomen. It has to do something with me disliking arrogant, self-righteous people and paladins (or would-be ones) in general.

Oh well, looks like I'll have to wait for the boys in progress. I'm particularly looking forward to Darian. Hope he will be out soon :)

I fully believe that is due to a poor portrayal of the class in general. One of these days I'm going to try writing a pally in something, and I'll see if I they're always as bad as some believe.

It can be. So far, I've only met one paladin I liked: Sir Nord from IWD2 NPC. But he's definitely not your typical paladin.

Depending on whether divine magic-users count, there's Gavin (but you need Tutu or BGT). I was going to recommend Cailean but that project seems to be progressing even slower than Arkalian. O.o

"Tyranny is a quiet thing at first, a prim and proper lady pursing her lips and shaking her head disapprovingly, asking, well what were you doing (wearing that dress, walking home at that hour, expressing those inappropriate thoughts) anyway? It's subtle and insidious, disguised as reasonable precautions which become more and more oppressive over time, until our lives are defined by the things we must avoid. She's easy enough to agree with, after all, she's only trying to help -- and yet she's one of the most dangerous influences we face, because if she prevails, it puts the raping, robbing, axe-wielding madmen of the world in complete control. Eventually they'll barely need to wield a thing, all they'll have to do is leer menacingly and we fall all over ourselves trying to placate them." -godlizard

He may or may not be out soon, but quite frankly, you won't like him for the reasons you've stated-Darian makes no bones about the fact that he is an arrogant, xenophobic individual who, if asked if he thought he and his people were better than humans, he'd simply say "Yes."

I'll judge him when I see him :) In fact, there are certain people whom I find to be "sexy arrogant" - Diriel from IWD2 NPC is a good example (and - correct me if I'm wrong - Darian seems to have similar racistic views as Diriel has). But Anomen is just an ass.

Translation progress very fast with Xicloing and Kurokarasu, and Diana & ArtémisRe from CoM for the proofreading. Should be ready in english in 2009, mod in french being ready for Christmas 2008. Hold on
