stuck in a cutscene with Kruin.

Hello,
I've encountered a stucked cutscene in my megamod install. In chapter 6.
Leaving an area to another I encountered a Githyanki entropist named Kruin.
After some dialog where he seeks to make me give him the silver blade, I refuse. But, instead of having the fight to start the scene gets stucked as the one for Cadderly in RoT .

There are five BCS folder for Kruin.CRE

What is happening here has nothing to do with race, override or class scripts and everything to do with the DLG file. This is what I have for the appropriate action of refusing to give the sword:

It doesn't matter HOPPY, for once I found the way "fixing" this bug on a french site (rare).
In fact, you've to run off toward Kruin with one of your team character. You have to make this quick before the dial begins. Kruin appears trough portal spell. If you manage to touch him before (using boots of speed, spells or potions of speed is the key), you prevent the bug to appear.

I restore the directory with the same game (but before biffing) in order to investigate this problem :
- CreateCreature("kruin") elsewhere does the same thing,
- putting kruin.cre from a backup in the override folder does the same thing (this is particularly curious since I never had this problem in my hundred games before..),
- putting kruin.cre from override of vanilla game in the override folder does the same thing (this is particularly curious since I never had this problem in my hundred games before..),
- take KRUIN.dlg from override of vanilla game and put it in override of my game does the same thing,
- take KRUIN.dlg from override of vanilla game and put it in override of my game and edit the file with notepad to remove "StartCutSceneMode()" and "EndCutSceneMode()" does CTD (it seems that this file is readable with notepad, but not modifiable),
- more to come (fell free to give me advice...).

I've heard of an utility called NearInfinity :doh: (I guess you all know this tool) so it's time to give it a try :lol:
Oh ! there is also a little Tutorial: "Correct the bug regarding Carsomyr's damage"... it seems not so hard to find something (I say that for other people that fear to take a look at this tool), well, it doesn't show how to remove my problem, but show how to edit simple value (according that you know what you are doing, and I'am not).
However, let's start... Open Kruin Creature, Open Kruin.dlg, edit, remove "StartCutSceneMode()" and "EndCutSceneMode()"... Save...
Launch the game again...

WTF ! it works (I can't even imagine how much I was lucky to go around this bug thas way)...
Well it's a VERY strange bug... since the original Kurin.dlg did not remove the bug... anyway, I can continue !

I think I understand the problem (but I am unable to correct it and unable to guess from which mod this problem comes) :
Here is what I saw with goblins : As an example, there are some groups of goblins in Irinicus Castle. Each time in vanilla game (and in every game I play until this one), goblins come 6 by 6 (4 with an axe and 2 with a bow). But, each time from the beginning of this game, the fist 4 comes (those with axes) and, only when they are all 4 dead, the two others appears (those with a bow)...

When I remove "StartCutSceneMode()" and "EndCutSceneMode()" from kruin.dlg, here is what's happening :
- I speak with Kruin and tell him something "bad",
- the first group of 4 giths appears and attacks, I kill all them (ah ah ! i'm too strong !!!),
- the second group of 3 giths appears and attacks and that's only at this moment that Kruin become unhappy (I mean that it only got his red circle at this time).

From kruin.dlg (before editing) I can saw that :

Had the same problem. Read this, downloaded NearInfinity, found, changed, worked.

After finding this, hardest part for me was figuring out how to get Windows 7 to freakin save the file.

I worked hard this day to find a workaround... but I am so happy it's still useful to others ;)
The only problem is that, this particular day, i known nothing about --change-log...

Yay, It worked!   Found this useful in 2020.
