I can select my port an all, but the second I select "New Game", my game cuts to a black screen or my desktop and has to be Alt+Tab'd and closed. My Cache Size is enough and all. How do i fix this?

You could try to first start a new sinle player game and then save, exit the game and go to the game directory and move the save just made from the save directory to the mpsave directory, restart the game and try to load it from the multiplayer load menu.
If that doesn't help, you can try starting the game in a windowed mode, as this should prevent some the game hangings in multiplayer mode. Source.
Or it might be a windows firewall thing... so disabling them might help, but do disconect from the internet first!
