Ok, I'll begin with this...

I'm now, replaying BG2, and I must say, there's few minor bugs, with Viconia.

• First, she is constantly under the Blind spell, or something like that. She can't see, or explore.
  
• Second, she cast spells, only her sight. Let me explain:

Somebody, please help, with this annoying bug.

PS: And Jaheira, constantly talks to Alaja, with "Waste of Time" dialog. About 5 times spawned.

Does she have the 1pp wings? Did you try to remove them? It's a long shot, but Erephine herself said they're buggy...

But my PC, also have them, no problems with her!

Or if all else fails, try kill and respawn. There should be like 3 different base creatures for each NPC, so try all of them if one doesn't work.

I think he meant by CLUAConsol. Should be something like CLUAConsol:CreateCreature("Viconia10") or something like that.

Perhaps you have a mod installed that blinds drow when they're on the surface?

Otherwise open the save with NI or DLTCEP (SK may do too) and strip VIcky of all effects. Items too. If she's still blind and there's no Blind Drow mod then, well, no idea.

The only logical explanation I could come up with. Since restoration was of no help, I thought that maybe you have something similar to Valen's sun blindness, that repeatedly recasts it on Vicky. Never have heard of one though.

That is a possibility, but I was thinking most people would actually know if they had installed such a thing and not consider it a bug.

Just to be on the safe side, maybe you should post your weidu.log...

Hi everyone!

First of all, I'm sorry for posting in such an old thread, with my first post even ! I encountered this exact problem in my game just now and it's annoying as hell! I've tried several searches on the internet, but I can't find anything about this at all! Except for this of course. So I was wondering if anyone found a solution to this problem and is willing to share it with me. It would really help me out! The mods I have installed are:
Ascension
Banterpack
Dungeon BeGone
IEP-Banters
NPC-flirtpack
Sword Coast Stratagem II

I couldn't really find anything about drow being blinded by sunlight in any of these, so I don't really know where else to look. I added my Weidu log just to make sure. Any help is appreciated!

No fixpack installed, huh? There's an old bug with Holy Smite that makes it cause permanent blindness. I'm guessing that's what happened.

Could very well be, I don't know. What I do know is that installing the fixpack now didn't work. I didn't expect it too, but now I'm guessing I'm screwed and will have to start over.. Or is there a known way to fix this afterwards?

Have you tried to find and remove the effect in ShadowKeeper?

Problem solved!

I checked out Shadow Keeper, but couldn't find anything out of the ordinary there. Then I searched the internet for some more info on the affects tab in SK and found the following thread:

It basically comes down to being caused by holy smite and being cured by cure disease. Thanks a lot Sneff!
