hello,
i installed BWP yesterday, and went to play today, playing fine.
however, i wanted to see if i could port it to my main setup, running linux mint.
i re-installed baldur's gate, through wine, playing goes fine.
then i copied the bg2 folder in my windows partition to the one in my mint partition.
all goes well, save for one problem.
whenever i'm in a pure interface part, the thing resizes.
when i control my characters, all is fine, it takes up the whole screen.
whenever i go to a menu, it resizes to (i think) 1024x768, rather than my usual 1280x1024 rez(running widescreen mod as part of BWP).
it letterboxes it, so the pure resolution playing is still 1280x1024, but it's like it zooms out and shows black whenever i go to, for example, my inventory, or the opening screen.
on win it's fine.
any idea what causes this? or how it can be fixed?

interface resizing?

okay, this is just weird.
i decided i'd just play on XP, and now it has exactly the same problem!
with the intro, it's always been like that, i just realized, but as soon as i'd enter a game, it wouldn't resize like this, now it is.
those black borders are very annoying, how do i remove them?

Normally, the game doesn't actually resize anything, it just blacks out the unneeded space(in WSmod). To get rid of it, you just have to uninstall the widescreen mod, and reconfigure the game to use the unsupported 1280x1024 resolution. the bad effect of this is that you won't see as big game screen. And by the way, the interface that the 1280x1024 resolution game uses is actually double sized 640x480 interface, so it looks really bad in big monitors, but if you are using small one, it might not be so much noticeable.any idea what causes this? or how it can be fixed?
And if you are looking for a high graphical interface, there is no mod that can do that...
