First of all, thanks Quinn for your great work. Youve handled it, that the best crpg of alltime became even better.

Everybody who is in love with this Game read the Interviews with Chris Avellone for sure. In many of these, if there were questions concerning PST, he said that he would have liked it, if Grace get kidnapped by the Evil Wizard Construct.
As well it was planned to show more of background stories of Vhailor and Ignus. There are some other things I cant remember right now, but my question is, if it is possible to implement these things as part of unfinished busines or would it be too much work? I think it would be, but Quinn youve showed great skills in copying the style of PST, seen for example in the scale of souls tweak. Ever thought about?

Oh yes - I was made aware of that interview, and I managed to get in contact with Chris Avellone about it and asked if there were any half-finished files regarding that scenario available. He's an insanely busy guy and has responded only infrequently, but he did say he'd check around with his staff. Other than a single audio file of Grace saying something like "I've never been kidnapped before" (which did not ship with the game), it appears that there's unfortunately nothing else available for me to work with. (Incidentally, it was supposed to be Grace -or- Annah, the condition for which being a bit hazy).

Chris said he'd be less busy and more available to discuss things in a few months, so hopefully I can get an actual continuous conversation with him rather than a monthly email, and see if anything can be worked out.

And thanks for your kind words :) If you like what has come so far, I think you'll really like the next version about to come out. My test run has gone extremely smoothly so far, with lots of neat new stuff. Once that's out, though, I will (gladly) have to share all the kind words and praises with scient, he's done tremendous work so far.

The Expanded Deionarra's Truth mod is my Christmas present... I think it came out great, and I really hope you guys like it.

Well, I sure am eagerly waiting for the Deionarra mod. Also how damn cool is it that you are actually sort of collaborating with MCA himself to restore unfinished content ? :D You know you have our deepest thanks for all this awesome work.

Can you picture lady Grace as a damsel-in-disress? I'm having serious trouble!

(Sorry for the thread necro :) it just me laugh)

Greetings.

I would like especially learn about the Vhailor's backstory. I like this character very much and it would be pleasant to know what Mr. Avellone thought up regarding how this uncompromised machine of justice came to existence.

Also I am curious if was there originally any extra dialog intended with Mercykillers at Smoldering Corpse Bar when you have Vhailor in your party.

I know you can ask one of the Mercykillers about Vhailor once you know about him - I don't think you need him to be in the party for it.

Yes, you can ask about Vhailor each one of Mercykillers, but I think it is not coherent that not an one of them reacts seeing floating, ancient Mercykiller's armour set with red burning "eyes" within its helmet.

Yeah, sorry, no, none of their dialogues react to his actually being there, nor is there anything hidden and inaccessible in the files for it.

Apologies for the thread necro, but it seems better than posting a redundant new topic.

What's the deal with Old Copper Eyes?  The unused Dustman Contract he was probably intended to give you, along with him not triggering the "recovered memory" sound (and reward of XP or cash) suggests that he was ultimately overlooked and unfinished.  He just seems like an excellent starting point for something interesting, or possibly a way to hook in any disconnected unfinished content or a quest or something.

 Chris Avellone's comments

[Old Copper Eyes] was supposed to be the proxy of some god of death, like Charon, but all he ended up being was some silent guy with copper eyes and 32000 hit points. Just another normal day in development.
