Love this mod (thanks so much for making it!). I have one question though: There is now no dithering around the edges of the things in the "fringe" of my vision - I just get hard black boxes. Is this something to do with your or Bigg's mod? (Or it is Qwinn's fault? ;)). Also, I haven't played PS:T in a while, but didn't it used to show the places you'd seen, but dithered, once you moved away from somewhere?

Sorry if this has nothing to do with your superb mod, I was just hoping someone might be able to tell me how to fix it?

Thanks!

Ok, I decided to join this forum because it seems like such a cool place. I can't wait to finally play Torment for the first time (properly!).

I've taken a screenshot of the problem I'm having (although, admittedly it's only an aesthetic one) and I hope someone can help me fix it.

I have all of Qwinn's mods installed (no cheats, but explore all city areas is on -- I thought it might help).

I installed Bigg's Widescreen mod and, of course, Ghostdog's.

Has anyone seem this particular issue before and is there a fix?

Thanks a lot,
- Johnny

This has nothing to do with any pst mods. It is a Nvidia driver issue with all infinity engine games that don't support 3d acceleration. See the following thread:

By the way i have found that currently the best solution for us nvidiots to get Planescape Torment working without dithering and/or speed issues is to install the game on a virtual machine. I use Sun Virtualbox myself, because unlike some alternatives it's free. It is not very tricky to get working right (if you use widescreen mod and ghostdog's ui for widescreen resolutions, you must first set your host operating system resolution to your desired resolution and set guest operating system color depth to 16 bits. Then just tell Virtualbox to go to fullscreen mode and enjoy the game.

Hey Tolkaz that is a good find, how powerful must your CPU be to run PST adequately in a virtual machine?

I have a Core 2 Duo E8400 and everything's fine but i guess i could get my hands on an older single core P4 for LGA775 to see how it performs.

Tolkaz, it would be great if you could test it on an older CPU. Anyway, your CPU is not the fastest one out there, so it would seem that many people could benefit from using a virtual machine.
