never had this problem before but I've got a nice, shiny new graphics card and i've run PS:T again, weirdly enough the fog of war is initially all black and blocky, but after a quick, menu click then back it goes to what it should be, but behind item graphics and other objects there are black blocks.. any ideas whats causing this or how to fix it?
graphics problems, solid black backgrounds etc

Your shiny new graphics card is NVIDIA ?
Infinity Engine and NVIDIA drivers don't go along very well...
Try this or use a virtual machine.
