Issues with BG2

So I decide I'd rather do a clean install than uninstall all my mods. Upon uninstalling, something is wrong. Everyone time I try to reinsert my disc into the drive it comes up with the launcher showwing Play, not install. I ran the Setup.exe on the disc and used the Control panel to use Add New Programs via CD and it attempts to uninstall whats not there.

Hah, Lulled myself into a false sense of hope. Any help would be appreciate4d, i'm not quiet adept at this.

I PM'ed back to you...

And so it doesn't go unsaid, the given instructions for the fix, doesn't describe how to unhide the hidden directory called "InstallShield Installation Information", from the "Folder and Search Options", which is done by going to there, and checking the marker below(Computer -> Organize -> Folder and Search Options -> Enable the option to see and search the hidden folders).
