I'm not 100% happy with it. I think I succeeded with a few riffs there, but the whole doesn't work as well as the sum of it's parts. T_T

EDIT: Added remix. Ish less monotone, yaa. And just overall better, actually... At least if you aren't allergic to cacophonic guitars. .p

About inferno rise, it's one of the very few times that I find the remix better than the original song. Somehow, the original track seems to me like a supporting melody track and in a way incomplete by it's own. But with the guitar adds on the remix, I think it's much more complete, interesting and it sounds about 5 to 10 times better.

Yeah. I'm thinking the problem is that it doesn't have a defined enough lead instrument...
That is pretty much the difference between it and the remix. Problem is, it's got THE instruments I want for the atmosphere.
I tried switching them around a bit, but couldn't find anything that'd work well. :[

Hm, and main supporting choir gets a bit monotone after a while. Hmm. :/

Believe me, that happens sometimes with supporting choirs/synth sound effects based songs. I think the same thing happened in my song la calla perdida. In the older version it was somewhat monotone, while in the new one it became much better without really altering the melody and by just adding some lead instruments with a few changes from the base melody. I think it really made a difference. So now that you've defined the problem, it's easier to try to solve it (although you've already did that with the remix lol). You could use many organs for the lead thingy, the only help i can give you is that: It's time for more ....experiments

I'm too ignorant to understand your musical mumbo-jumbo, but I must say that I really liked Inferno Rising and remix.
My favourite is the remix, it's more metal!!

Yeahh... I've managed to get a somewhat more balanced sound out of it by llaying with volumes and switching the drum-sound for something less fuzzy for a peak point. But the real difference is minor I guess. Oh, well, I gess I'll just leave it at that and move on. @_@

I like it too! The remix is my fav, hadn't i mentioned it? (love metal too and it sounds more progressive and completed)

Well, actually, the original was the one I was worried about no one liking. ^^

And you only said the remix was 5-10x better than the original, which was left unrated.

Naa, I by far am more pleased with the remix myself.
But the orchestral style version was the original idea I based the composition on, so I was glad to hear it wasn't entirely a turd either. ^^

Wow, that sound relly good, WeeR. I like it. The first compositions reminds me of some good, old fantasy, and the latter are darker, very climatic. What can I say, good job.

Quite good and interesting! I liked the bells and the ethereal stuff. Maybe on the intro IMO, adding some backing choirs would make it better. Also I don't know if it's my fault but there's something weird about the ending. The music seems to stop but the track continues... (i tried to get my volume higher but still nothing) Am I the only one who have this problem? @_@
