The following file is only necessary if you have the Max HP tweak installed, and you have an extremely high (20+) Constitution early in the game, before you reach 10th (or possibly 11th) level in your highest class.

Simply extract the file into your override directory.

The next release will include this as part of the standard install.

Thanks for the fix, but it was also funny to have 200+ hp at level 8 : )

Thanks Qwinn!
Im also early in the game now (HP tweak installed), have high Constitution (i think 18) and didnt encounter this prob yet.
Is it safe to install this fix now? Won't it mess anything up?

btw.
The bigg has released a fix for nvidia card users which fixes problems with transparency & etc:

Would be great to see it included in your fixpack

thanks again.

Ah almost forgot,
my buddy doesn't speak English very well and wanted me to ask you, if its save to install "Save Nordom" tweak later in the game?
He just got back from Pharod's Court and Annah joined his party. He said he has all your 3 patches installed.

Also "Danke schön" (Thanks lot) on his behalf for your excellent work as well.

dash,

1) Yep, go ahead and install the MaxHP fix. Shouldn't cause any problems for you, it will just prevent future levelups from screwing up your HP.

2) If that seriously fixes the graphic problems, hell, I'll do an interim 3.02 release just to deal with that issue. That's a huge deal. Thanks for alerting me to it!

3) And yes, it shouldn't cause any issues for your friend if he installs the Save Nordom tweak before leaving Sigil. Tell him to go for it.

Hmmm, on further thought, I'm not sure if I should package that with my Fixpack. It's probably best to have that as a separate mod that can be downloaded by people who actually need it. People not using NVidia cards, for example, probably shouldn't be messing with .dll's for no reason.

But if it works, I'll sure as hell put a link to that mod in my readme. That'd be awesome news. When I get a chance, I'll test it out on my system.

Ok Qwinn thanks, ill let him know.

I guess a link to Bigg's nvidia fix + info in your readme will be indeed a better idea.

p.s.
His fix really does work! :)
I have NV 8800GTX, and before his fix i had to enable software transparency in game's video options to get rid of transparency glitches on dropped loot/spell effects/dithering & etc. Enabling software transparency did fixed the problem, but the game started to run a 'lil bit jerkier/slower in some places, so did the mouse pointer if you hovered it over inventory menu & etc.

Anyway, after installing Bigg's fix and disabling software transparency i have 0 probs with graphics. :)

Qwinn, answer please one question.
After installing all three mods why do Dak'kon having level up gains (being a warrior) max of 6 HP, instead of 5. Being a mage - max of 3 HP, instead of 2. And why do Annah having level up gains (being a thief) max of 4 HP, instead of 3. May be there is a mistake in some of the mods itself? Thanks.
PS. When 4.1 will be available?

Constitution hit point bonus. Dak'kon starts with 16 CON, which normally gives +2. As a multiclass he divides by 2, so (10 + 2) / 2 = 6, and (4 + 2) / 2 = 3. Same with Annah (6 + 2) / 2 = 4.

I'm still working on 4.1 stuff. Scient is too, I believe. We'll release when we run out of stuff that we know about. Blame devSin and nevill for giving us way too many bug reports at once ;)

Please, look at these screens. Sorry, they are in russian, but I believe you'll understand them. If no - tell me, i'll describe them clearly.
The question is the same, but I mean without CON bonus.
This is a question from one comrad from russian community. He asked me to ask you.

Thanks.

Refiler:

Very strange - I tried to duplicate the problem and I couldn't.

Can you verify with your friend that the ACTUAL amount of HP is increasing by what it says in that window? Is it possible it's only showing up in that display, but the actual HP is increasing by the proper amount?

I say this because in the first picture, Dak'kon's total HP is 39. That's what it -should- be after leveling one time as a fighter with the max hp tweak... he starts at 33 hp, and one level of fighter should get him 6 more total (including CON bonus). Since you suggested earlier that you had the problem leveling *both* fighter and mage, I'm wondering if the problem isn't just with the display, and that after that levelup, Dak'kon has the 42 hp he should have.

BTW, even if the hp after that levelup is 43 (which the second picture does suggest), I do need to know if it's only happening as a mage. Based on his having 39 hp after leveling once as a fighter, that suggests it is not happening as a fighter. At least not every time.

Also, was this definitely Fixpack and Tweak Pack v4.0?

If they're using v3, there was a bug with how I was assigning hp for non-TNO PC's. It was reported in known issues thread and fixed in one of v3.x patches but initial v3 had it.

Those interested in the classic TBS game Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri / Alien Crossover should check out the unofficial patch I work on here.

Thank you for the answers. Excuse me for bad english, I try to formulate the problem.

Before start the game I intall fixpack 3.02, tweakpack 3.51 (components Banter Accelerator and Early Glabrezu) and UB 3.02. All working correct, I reroll HP dices on each levelup to possible max (5 without CON bonus to fighter, 3 to thief, 2 to mage). Around of 1/3 of the game I install components Maximized HP Per Level for TNO and Party and Maximized Friends Spell from tweakpack (and reinstall UB after that) and from next levelup Dak'kon and Annah was get incorrect HP as Refiler wrote. In what sample, Dak'kon's HP upped from 39 to 43. When I load old save with first Dak'kon's levelup as a fighter, his HP was upped from 33 to 40. I try some over old saves and in all cases HP per levelup higher then normally possible on 1.
Because You can't to repeat the problem, I surmise that is a consequence of multiple reinstallations of mods during my beta-test of Refiler & Macbeth russian translation.
