In vanilla PS:T, on the character screen, the field labeled "THAC0" is really just the character's Base THAC0 dependent only on his class and level. It does not include any bonuses from strength, weapon proficiencies, magical weapon bonus, Bless spells, or anything else. The field "To Hit" in the Ability Bonuses section displays the character's strength bonus accumulated with any THAC0 bonus from magical items such as weapons or one of Annah's jerkins, etc., but nothing else. There was no way on the character screen to perceive THAC0 bonus from weapon proficiencies, or see the effect of Bless-like spells.
Version 4.0 of the Fixpack is going to fix the "To Hit" field so that it displays any strength bonus accumulated with any weapon proficiency bonus (which is what the "Damage" field also displays), but it will no longer include item bonuses.
Version 4.0 of the Tweak Pack will include a new tweak called "BG2-Style THAC0 Display". It will still list the Base THAC0, but more helpfully labeled "Base THAC0". The tweak adds another field labeled "THAC0" which will be that character's final, actual THAC0 including -all- modifiers: strength (or dexterity in Nordom's case), items, weapon proficiencies, Prayer type spells, etc. The only exception is the THAC0 bonus provided by Luck, which will always remain a hidden value.
I'm going to consider this tweak HIGHLY recommended, in the same category as the Banter Accelerator and the Stackable Items tweaks. The vanilla PS:T character display is extremely confusing, and its nearly impossible to figure out what actual effect your items and stats have on your characters. I'm actually a bit tempted to put it in the Fixpack, but if for some bizarre reason someone wants the original and mostly useless THAC0 display, this way they can do so.
