Hi, everyone. This is the first time I write here and the first time I play with mods. So I'm sry to say I know nothing of programming and stuff...

My problems are about game crashing: it crashes after I speak with that Martin guy who says he'll take me to Cadderly... it also crashes when I try to fight in the Arena, and when I try to enter Cromwell's (which most strangely did not happen all the times: I started entering normally, even made him create the armor with the Shadow Dragon Scales...)

I know many other posts have been made about this, but I can't quite understand the answers. So I'd need help without the specialized lingo...

- You must be sure that you have patched the main game files: ToB Official Patch
- You must be sure you have the lastest version of RoT, as that Cromwell crash should have been fixed.
- You must be sure that all mods are installed in an acceptable order.

(1) open the file weidu.log in your game folder, copy all the lines
(2) paste the contents into a new post in this thread

Hi there, tnx for answering! I think I have the latest version of RoT, I downloaded it from here 2 months ago, it's the 2.1, I think. I did install ToB's official patch, but I'm not sure if I have installed mods in an acceptable order. I can tell u RoT is one of the first things I installed: right after game, expansion, patch, spanish translation and BG2Fixpack (also downloaded here). Then, after RoT, I installed a bunch of other mods. Here it goes the Weidu log (hope it's the right doc, I copied it from RoT's folder in my game directory) Again, hope u can help, tnx very much!

Sorry, I can't really help here. We have some fixes for RoT in the BiG World Fixpack, but these fixes must be installed after you extracted the mod and before you install it. Perhaps someone else could help you with workarounds.

One question, do you have Drizzt in your party?

I'm pretty sure that I installed the fixpack before, and that RoT mod wasn't even unpacked then. Could that be the cause? If so, what should I do?

As I said "after you extracted the mod and before you install it". If you have not extracted the mod before you use the "BiG World Fixpack" then the mod get not fixed.

Sorry, but I and the BW Fixpack can't help you in your situation.

Unfortunately, you probably should re-install the mods in a different order, AND start a new game. Sorry, I know you've gotten about mid-way in your game.

Big World Project is one place to consider for good installation instructions.

If you're a Spanish-speaker check out forums @ Clan DLAN, they should be very helpful.

Hello there

i have same problem about crash. When i speak with Brother martin he says "i will come with you and wait you at the temple". after then seems loading screen and then going to crash.

Ok a wee bit more info needed then Check your BGII folder for a baldur.err, open it in notepad and post the last 20-25 lines here

In case that file isn't present, I'll quote the imp's signature:

In case the BG2 game crashes post the content of your baldur.err file. To get it to record stuff, open up the 'baldur.ini' in your game folder with Notepad, and under the [Program Options] section in the file, make a new line and type in 'Logging On=1' (without the '' quotes, unless the line is already there)... Save the file and exit. Now go back into the game and try to reproduce the crash. Then look in your game folder again for the Baldur.err file and open it with the Notepad to analyze its contents, or let us do it.

Can you please search your RoTerror folder for a file called RR3700.WED and dump it into your override folder?

Dunno what caused this missing file thing... yes your mod order is a bit wonky but it shouldn't have opened an inter-dimensional portal that sucked random WED files into oblivion

PS: Are there folders called ROT-something in your BGII folder? (eg: ROT-TIS, ROT-WAV etc etc)

Hm that's kinda freaky

Could your AREA1300.bif be corrupted? (or deleted ) If you have your BGII CD/DVDs you might wanna check them for this file and put it in d:\oyunlar\bgii\cd3\DATA\

Or maybe someone can upload their AREA1300.bif for you to use (it's 22MB and on my connection right now, that'd take around 30 mins to attach so sorry )
