Well I just finished playing all 3 of the major campaigns I was a Wood Elf Paladin for the OC and MOTB and then made a Ranger who was an archer for SOZ...however I would now like to play the game as an Evil Char but im finding what class to play the hardest thing to decide...I went with a rogue who would eventually turn Assassin but are they any good? It just seems like 1 on 1 they cannot do anything I always kept Neeskha (however you spell it) With a crossbow in my first game and when I played SOZ my rogue used a Sling...

If rogue/assassin is not any good please give me some other ideas for a fun evil char to play...(I dont want to play any evil char that uses a 2 hander or a bow as I just did that) Magic is welcomed but I would prefer to dual wield or single wield

Also Im going to sneak in one last question if anyone knows about it...Is mysteries of Westgate any good and worth the 9.99 or what? Thanks in advance!

A rogue/assassin isn't the best choice for the OC, because their main offence is from sneak attack and it doesn't affect undead. Better might be a Ranger, for dual-wielding and better raw fighting skill. I haven't tried Swashbuckler, but it also looks possible if a little weedy.

I've had fun with an evil Bard/Eldritch Knight in HttD. A nice mix with decent enough magic, a little healing, some quite competent fighting, and good skills as a bard, but very fragile in hit points with 14 Constitution a must (which I fortunately had). I've got a plan one day to run through the main campaign with an evil version of my Cleric/Warpriest, but the main problem I have is avoiding falling to Chaos (he would start as a LE cleric of the LN Red Knight, but siding with the evil faction in Neverwinter would quickly send him to NE).

Back from the brink.

Like RPGs? Like Star Wars? Think combining the two would be fun? Read Darths and Droids, and discover the line "Jar Jar, you're a genius".

These, in the day when heaven was falling,
The hour when earth's foundations fled,
Followed their mercenary calling
And took their wages and are dead.

Thanks for the advice! If you had to pick a spell casting class to be evil which one would be the most solid choice? Warlock, Wizard, or Sorc or even a bard? Oh and if I were to go as a ranger should it be pure ranger or should I go towards a Prestige Class like the Blackguard or something else?

On the first, whichever you want. None of them are really any more suited to evil than the others. Maybe someone specialising in Necromancy if you use Wizard or Sorceror, a Bard can be charming as well as utterly vicious, and I suppose a Warlock has got plenty of nastiness. Though you can be evil and spellcasting with a cleric or a druid too. Any work.

I have come to believe that the best second class for a character who is mostly a 2-weapon ranger is... Barbarian. With Frenzied Berserker a good choice for prestige class. You've got a lot of attacks, the extra Strength from raging means they all do more damage and hit more often, they're right at the top of the pole in terms of hit points, and you're not down too many skill points with a Barbarian compared to a Ranger. An alternative is Shadowdancer, but it's not so good in the OC.
