I have a problem with the darkveil when fighting the medusas near Mutamin.
Basically, it doesn't work.
My character gets killed by gaze attacks from the medusa.
I repeated the fight a few times to make sure that it was a gaze attack that was killing him.
The Weidu log is below.
I don't know whether the problem is due to incompatability with SCS or perhaps another mod.
I posted on the SCS forum and it was suggested that I post here.
Hope that you can solve my problem.

Further bit of info. The medusas come from the Gavin mod, could this be a compatability issue, i.e. the writers of rogue rebalancing didn't expect there to be any medusas in BG1?

Like you can read here:
http://www.shsforums...showtopic=27171
SCS needs to be installed before RR and not after, so that could be the problem you have. If RR checks for compatibility (and in this case SCS) then the checked mod must be installed before RR, else is no compatibility guaranteed.

A Megamod does not mean that you can play all of the mods or all of their content,
but you have more choices or paths through the game.

Yes, it's likely a minor compatibility issue between RR and the mod which introduces the Medusas. I'll look into it.

BTW, I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with SCS and I don't think it's related to Gavin either.

Much appreciated.
Thanks for the link also Leomar. :)
Not only does it give me order of install, but it tells me of loads of mods that I didn't know about. :)

There are no medusas in the Gavin mod. The only reference to basilisks is the optional quest that allows Gavin to participate in the existing Mutamin quest, but this is vanilla game behavior, and nothing introduced by Gavin. The PC can complete the quest even without the mod installed. About the only change Gavin makes is that Kelddath Ormlyr gives the part six potions of Mirror Eyes, but that's about it.

Sorry, I know you're looking for answers, but there's nothing here to suggest incompats.

You're right I have discovered that the Medusas do dot come from Gavin.
I don't know if this helps, but I have a file called F_MEDUSA.cre and one called F_medusa.BAF in the Drizzt Saga.
It's the only place that I have files containing the word Medusa in them, so I suspect that might be where the problem lies.
I will do further investigation to see if I can confirm this.
There is a file with the same name in my Tutu override folder.
I have posted this information at G3 as well.

This is not a bug in RR, but nevertheless I've posted an idea on how aVENGER can address it here (it's a compatibility issue with Drizzt Saga, as you suggest).

I would like to thank everybody for their help.
Much Appreciated :)

I think that somebody must have thought that it was Gavin, after installing more than one mod because it is the Gavin mod that gets you sent to Mutamin.
A reasonable, but wrong supposition.
There doesn't appear to be a reason why Drizzt should have affected that area, though no reason why it shouldn't.

Thanks again.
If it gets sorted so that the installation order doesn't matter, that will be even better as the various lists of the correct installation order are not the same!!!

By the way, I do like the rogue rebalancing mod. Thanks for your efforts in that respect also.

A quick query Avenger, will you be issuing an update in the near future that will address this issue as I intend to do a fresh ninstallation in the near future?
Don't feel pressurised as it is very much a minor issue.

No. As noted elsewhere, this should be reported to the author of the Drizzt Saga mod.

And since the issue isn't caused by a bug in Rogue Rebalancing, I've moved it into a separate thread.

Agreed - although the list was intended as an install guide, it actually is a great 'who's who' of IE mods.
