It's probably the graphic card. I recently purchased the same card and I'm having FPS drops. With my older card everything was ok. To improve performance go to the Torment.ini and set Translucent Shadows=0. Also go to the control panel and set all 3d settings to "use application settings" and also disable triple buffering and adaptive anti-aliasing. This will improve your performance somewhat. If the game's FPS are still very low, then lower the hardware acceleration to one above "none" (desktop-> properties-> settings-> advanced-> troubleshooting) This will most likely fix the fps problem but it may introduce other graphical glitches.
As I said it's most likely the gprahic's card problem. Any other suggestions that could improve perforce (and help us avoid lowering hardware acceleration) are welcome.

I do not have any other mods, hacks, cracks installed.
The disks are ISO's on my hard-drive, and the .ini file reflects the ISO locations.
I haven't had any problems until now, and any help would be appreciated.
P.S.: I apologize if this has been addressed elsewhere in this forum, or is this is the wrong place for such a request, my searches of this forum showed no hits. The only relevent hit I googled was a broken link, so I am desperate :-)

Sounds like a good idea, but I'm not that sure what the common errors are :-/
Look for the 4.0 update to the guide very soon!

1) Do not install it to a Program Files directory. I installed it to C:\Torment.
2) When I deliberately exit from the game, I get a brief "Planescape Torment has stopped working. Looking for a solution." and I have to cancel or let it finish and close it out. Just an annoyance, doesn't interfere with gameplay though.
3) Possibly related to #2, the whole "Register your product, Are you sure you really want to forfeit" that used to only come up once is now coming up every time, which is annoying. I even tried sending a registration to the defunct website it attempts to send it to, and it *still* comes up every time. Anyone know if there's an INI setting or some other way to turn that off?

Delete the ereg folder out of PST directory. One of the first things I do when I make a new PST install.

So, only recurring issue I've got is the annoying error message whenever exiting out. Not that big a deal, but if someone knows how to get rid of it, that'd be cool.

Just thought I'd point out, the guide's got a really good tip for 4CD users... copy CD2 thru CD4 into a single directory called CDALL or somesuch, then point the Torment.ini CD2 thru CD4 to that. There really is a whole lot of duplication going on, to reduce the need for disk switching, but on a full install that's totally unnecessary. Saved about 500 megs on my hard drive that way.

Hello,
Qwinn
You guys did great job!so is ThunderPeel2001
thanks very much !
I have a quesiton , I installed english version, y installed spanish packages
then
If I need to installed all the 3CD(2,3,4) in harddisk?like copy all the 'bif' things to a new folder.
or I can mount all the 3CDs en DEAMONTOOL?
when I mount the 2nd CD, it work.
What I only wanna is to imporve the font display(my old LCD screen is 1400*1050 mode)(I think it's Digg and Gostdog's patch),my question is if I can do the 2nd step o not .
In ThunderPeel2001's steps,he writes>>
Step 2: Improve loading times on faster machines (Required)
Note: The step is necessary before you can perform the Steps 3a and b, below.
"but on a full install that's totally unnecessary. "
because this sentence make me confused
Thanks !
