Encounter/quest not launching

I've played through SoA with ninde twice now, because I did not get the encounter the first time. No luck the second time either. First time I played it was awhile ago so the mods used during the two playthroughs were different so I dont know if some mod incompatibility is the culprit.

I've tried changing the LT variables (it is supposed to happen after LT 29 or something right?) and everything I could think of to get it to trigger but to no avail.

So, can anyone tell me the requirements to get the encounter to trigger? A certain quest that you need to do beforehand perhaps? Do I need to be in a certain area(I've tried all of them pretty much)?

I tried using the console(CreateCreature) to summon lk#npm and lk#npf(saw those two in the creatures folder under ninde) thinking that might force it to launch but the console said that those creatures could not be found. Also installed the super happy fun modder pack (whatever the name is :rolleyes:) but it didn't do anything.

What gives?

Requirements:
LK#NindeLovetalk must be at 30.
The party must be in Athkatla.
The party must have encountered Drizzt after escaping the Underdark.
LK#NindeRomanceActive must be set to 2.
LK#Ninde_Enounter must be set to 0.

And the usual things--no enemies, Ninde and the PC can't be charmed/asleep/confused etc.

Yea, I have all of them right.

However, I did kill drizzt and his friends when I encountered them and I cant see any drizzt related variable:/ That might've screwed it up. You wouldn't happen to know which drizzt variable I need to add by any chance(if that is indeed the problem)?
DRIZZTFIGHTBODHI=1?

Try setting DrizztEncounter to 1 -- that should do it. I'll look into it for the next version of the mod and sort it out. :)

Hi!

 

How do I see if those variables are correct? I am currently at LK#NindeLovetalk 30 but nothing is happening after that. Ninde has had some banters with Viconia and she keeps repeating her banter with Edwin about the facepaint but nothing else is happening.

Make sure you're at Global("LK#NindeRomanceActive","GLOBAL",2) and somewhere outside in Athkatla. If you accidentally killed the romance in the last talk, the quest won't trigger.

 

Oh! Actually, it could be that a messenger spawned but you left the area before he could talk to you; I've seen that happen before. If you're at Global("LK#Ninde_Encounter","GLOBAL",2) but haven't seen an encounter, set that variable back to 0 and it should trigger properly.

 

And you can set "LK#NindeEdwin" to 1 to get that facepaint banter to stop triggering. That one appears to be broken.

What command do I use to find out what number the romance and encounter is at? I am pretty sure that I did not break it but who knows. =)

I did use the commands to set the Romance to 2 and set the Encounter to 0 and nothing happened right away. Am I supposed to wait for awhile after inputting the commands. (At least I am pretty sure that I put in the commands correctly, it did not say anything about an error, pretty new to using the console for this game)

GetGlobal("globalname","GLOBAL") will get you a number for those things, please let us know what they are :)

Romance is at 2, Drizzt is at 1 and Encounter is at 0 so I guess the commands worked (it is possible that they were correct before I input the commands as well).

What is the Encounter that is supposed to happen? If it is someone that is supposed to appear is it not possible to simply spawn in that creature?

You do have the most recent version, right? Because the earlier version that relied upon the Drizzt variable was broken.

 

Hmm. Either way, if "LK#Ninde_Encounter" won't advance on its own accord to variable=1 for whatever reason, setting it there manually should hopefully move things along.
