I finally decided to try this BGT mod, and here is my progress so far:

(I have the original 5 CD set for Baldur's Gate)

Fresh install (FULL) of BG+TotSC (FULL Install)+BGTalesUS5512 patch
Fresh install (FULL) of BGII+ToB (FULL Install)+BGII-ThroneofBhaal_Patch_26498

Run the BG2_Fixpack-v8.exe

Then run the Setup-BGT.exe

Install *seems* to run fine, no errors. After quite a few minutes, I get to the Install Complete message and exit the window (Should it not have the Press ENTER to Exit message?)

I click on the baldur.exe in the Baldurs Gate II directory, and it immediately takes me to the config screen. I adjust all the configs to a high PC setting, and set the resolution to 800x600 and Apply and Save.

I then am prompted to insert the Baldurs Gate Expansion disc, I then insert the TotSC CD. I choose new game, and then I am prompted again with Insert Baldurs Gate Disk 1, I place in that CD, and continue on to make my character.

I complete making my character, and the opening Movie stars. I then get the "first dream" intro movie and am finally starting in candlekeep.

I then notice it is NOT using the 800x600 resolution, I also cannot move my mouse to the right of the screen to right click on my character portrait. My Mouse is like blocked in, inside some invisible boundary. I then tied hitting the H key to hide the interface, but noticed it did nothing.

So.... did I do something wrong, or did I miss a step or something?

Just need some help.

Thanks!

You are doing it all wrong cause you are actually playing the BG1 game, not BG2 with BGT... you either need to start the game from the BGMain.exe in the BG2 game directory... or when it asks for the CD, you need to insert the ToB CD, not the BG1 CD, that does auto starts the BG1 game. :)
