If I start a new BG1 game as say a plain Paladin, when I get to BGII can I change to the new say Undead Hunter?

Or do I need to take this kit NOW when I start BG1? Just wondering, as playing any of the new BGII kits in BG1 would be a tad unbalancing.

Yes, you need to take the Kit when you make the char.
