I've just escaped from the Underdark and slain Bodhi. After saving Nathaniel from an unattractive life of undeath everything seemed to be going fine. My PC had a few love talks with him about coming to grips with being undead, and at one point (during a rest at the inn) he asked my character to sleep with him to make him feel better.

My PC told him "No, I want the first time to be special." but still cuddled him to sleep. Considering that they were staying in the City gates inn (Stables ftl) - it felt pretty in character that he wouldn't want his first time to be in a stable, without a soul.


He did, however, go on about how wonderful I am a while later. He still refers to me as 'his love'.

The problem is after that, Nathaniel won't let me talk to him at all. He has "Nothing to say to me." He and Mazzy have even begun talking about my main PC in past tense relationship...

Have I done something wrong? I don't want the romance to end because of my characters romantic notion!


PS: I just want to add that I am really enjoying playing with Nathaniel (As so to speak.. ). Its a lot of fun!

Check your NathRomanceActive variable. If it's 2, then he still loves you. (Aren't global variables romantic?)

Its still 2. (If only you could set real life potential love interests Global variables to 2.. )

He must have run out of things to say... I do spend a lot of time waiting for him to say something cute.

You've actually reached the end of the story arc, so don't wait around for him too long. Move on to ToB. He'll have some sweet things to say to you at the Tree of Life as well.

I've just finished SoA with Nathaniel! *Plays a LOT of baldurs gate 2.. * He wow'd me with the sweet things he'd said.

Nathaniel was a lot of fun to have in my party (and romance). I think its refreshing to have someone that is unsure of the road ahead, but brave enough to keep on going.. Theres far too many 'Onwards to oblivion!' characters in my party...



Now.. Onwards to the throne of bhaal... *Drags Nathaniel with him.*
