Is it possible to do stuff like change TNO to a multi-class character, etc or is it all hardcoded?

Much belated ansver, but this is what I've figured out at least.

Changing NO to any multiclass combination crashes to desktop upon load.
Changing NO to priest/cleric, crashes the game to desktop upon clicking the level up button.
Changing any character to Bard, Druid, Ranger or Paladin crashes the game to desktop upon trying to load the savegame.

Example Dakkon could be set to Fighter/Cleric, Annah to a Thief/Mage, and Morte could be a fighter/cleric/mage etc.

Also, unless my memory is messing up, I think only Annah and NO can actually use thief skills for some reason. Can't remember having tested that though.

I to would love to be able to multiclass NO (Fighter/Thief/Mage), as I'm frankly tired of the the jumpy-dual-class system. Alternatively it would be great fun and variation to try playing him (and some of the other characters) as some of the other classes, like NO as a Bard could get very interesting.

So far, it seems like I'll have to wait for GemRB to finish the PST support before this is plausible.

Well, you could "multi-class" with the known spell-exploit, but Qwinn's latest patches have fixed that. If you changed your class from mage to fighter you could still gain access to your spells if you opened the action box, clicked on the spell-tab of one of your spellcasters and then chose TNO. Frankly though this is pointless, it's an overkill in game that it's not that hard anyway.

Well, certainly not arguing the difficulty. The only reason I'm interested in this, is because I'm frankly tired of playing as single-class fighter, thief or wizard. Multi-classing was simply to be able to not get thieving skills shut off, and NO "forgetting" how to use a hammer when changing from wizard etc.

Would also have loved to try some of the "new" classes (Bard, Druid, Ranger and Paladin) just to see if I couldn't find a couple of new ways to play the game.

Don't worry, I'm quite aware that it's not going to happen anytime soon (at least not until the wizards at GemRB get things up and running with a good deal of more support for the game).

PS: Playing thief is still a bit fun though, the other two are just boring nowadays. To little challenge :P
