THANK YOU for adding in this component. It definitely provided a wonderful sense of closer that simply wasn't there in the past. It included some delicious flirtation, hilarious Morte quips, and fun with my favorite of the Brothel Prostitutes.

That was a glorious addition. I was wondering why the cabinet was locked and had the new dialog...

I loved the quest to death. Thank you.

Thanks!! I'm really glad someone finally liked it, heh. I think this is the first unqualified "I liked it" anyone (other than my kind fellow PS:T modders) has bothered to voice, so I really appreciate your taking the time :)

If I may chime in, I recently played through this component and have to say it's probably one of my favorite quest lines in the whole game.

In one fell swoop, it provided closure to many important themes (Mebbeth's death, Iannis mourning, the Dream Builder and its purpose), all the while rewarding attentive players, adding some wonderful dialogue (great interaction with Kesai-Serris!) and ingenious twists and ideas (opening the cabinet in an way unintended by our friend Practical, having the quill actually write into your journal, and so on).

The game is definitely much stronger with this addition. So, let me add to the enthusiastic thanks here...

*beams* Thank you! Your kind words are very much appreciated. :)

Incidentally, when I was chatting with Chris Avellone and Colin McComb, I thought it important to ask what the original purpose of the Dreambuilder was, since in the vanilla game that whole quest line dead ends pretty abruptly. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something contra-canon. They replied that at one point the plan was to have the Dreambuilder be part of the critical path of finding Ravel, but eventually it got replaced (I'm guessing by Ravel's sensory stone in the private sensorium, which IMO was definitely a better way to go about it). So they left the Dreambuilder questline in, but the actual use for the Dreambuilder was cut which is why it seemed to end so abruptly. Given that situation, I felt free to come up with my own "closure" for the Dreambuilder questline, and although as far as I know they haven't actually played it, they were both very encouraging after reading a synopsis of what I had planned for it, and for Kesai as well.

(Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken as an official endorsement by either MCA or Colin McComb, as they do not have the legal right to make such official endorsements.)

Interesting... I've always wondered what the original plan was with the Dream Builder (it was evident that what was present on the release was somehow only part of the original concept - it was a quest line that offered too much buildup, too little closure).

Regarding the mod, it may indeed not be canon (whatever that might mean, specially given the forcible discontinuation of all things Planescape and Black Isle), but as far as I'm concerned, it certainly is an official part of my version of the story now.

I loved the cabinet thing, the interaction with Kesai... not so much.

Hey, I'd also like to add that the new quest was executed flawlessly and it was a really clever idea to use the dream-builder, fantastic modding all around. The dialog could use a bit of work though, as sometimes it was obvious that this was a fan-made mod. Especially TNO's lines need to be more in-character, I think. But hey, I really liked the mod, definitely a standard install in all future playthroughs.
