Hi fellow BG gamers

I'd just like to start out by saying I'm very impressed by this whole modding community and thankful for the awesome additions to BG being developed. I already played one game with BWP which was a blast even though I think I got too many items in the end and it altered the game just a bit too much.

This time I'm looking to play the Tactics version of the game from candlekeep to ascension hoping for a really hard challenge. I played BG2 with just weimers tactics a few years back and made it to the final Irenicus showdown.

I'm a bit puzzled though; when looking over mod descriptions it states that BP and SCSII could have compatibility issues. They are both in the list of mods though and on top of that ... well every single tactic mod is in fact included. And no it doesn't end there; every single blue standard mod is clicked too. I'm going to be removing most of the standard mods but as to the Tactic mods I just don't know if I should keep them all. I'm just wondering if something may have gone wrong or if they are really all meant to be installed together?

It's really meant to be so, should you know, the Tactical version also picks up the harder options for the regularly used mods.
Now, as the Tactical setup/install is the ultimate collection what the mods have, you can if you wish to, remove whatever mods you wish... What comes to the BP and SCSII being incompatible, well they kinda are, but if you use the BWS installer, the mods that are actually installed should all be compatible, so you get most out of them. Of course this is not total guarantee that they'll work the most efficiently to kill you, but that's really hard to control.
But the SCSII and few other mods will make the game far harder with the Tactical install than it does in Recommended and others+ you have more adventures to go through.

Now, the only good way to regulate the over powered item inflow is to just keep them in a bag of holding, just in case you'll need them.
