Hi,

I cannot enter any building in the Bridge District. There are just no entry points at any building. I have installed the Aurora fix. I can talk to people with no problem. All other areas (that I've been to) are okay. Appreciate any help.

Attach your WeiDU.log and ar0500.are files please. I'm pretty sure this is the same door problem already reported and fixed locally.

Fortunately, it is your last mod and you haven't biffed so you can uninstall it easily enough. But you will need to use a save from before you entered the area for the first time. I have uploaded a new version that shouldn't have this issue but it won't be visible until K'aeloree or Bookwyrme gets to it. I can't rightly fix this issue with a patch though, because areas are stored in save games (it would be a very nasty patch anyhow).

Thanks Miloch. I don't have a game in progress at the moment so I'll wait till it becomes available and start again. When I first discovered this problem, I re-installed everything from scratch and lost my save-games (I hadn't progressed very far). Anyway, thanks a lot, it's much appreciated and I look forward to playing this very promising mod for the first time.

Am uploading version 5 now.

Sorry about the delay. Thanks again for staying on top of this, Miloch.

As a quick fix if you're playing a current game with Aurora v4:

Use Near Infinity and open AR0500. In the lower right hand box, find all the entries that start with the "Tran" and click on one. Deselect the checkbox next to "Connected to Door (11)". Go down the list and deselect that for all of the "Trans" that have it. You should be able to use all the "doors" in the Bridge District now by simply clicking on them.

Note, you have to do this BEFORE you visit the Bridge District for the first time.

Same problem in AR1100 (Umar Hills). Same solution. Make sure to do this BEFORE you visit the Umar Hills for the first time.

Same thing in AR2010. Not that it really matters - it's the bar in Trademeet. The only door leads to the kitchens, which are empty. Since the exit transition isn't a door on this side, it shouldn't affect play.

Eh... why not just install v5, asdf? Maybe it's a bit late if you're already in Trademeet, but surely you could (should) have done it if you started with a save from before the Bridge District, as you seem to have indicated.

If you're in the middle of a game, most folks don't want to reinstall.

Sorry, I was just trying to help. Aurora is a terrific mod, and lots of fun and definitely should be included in any game of BG2. You're support is excellent and nearly immediate. I just wanted to make sure you knew where all the bugs were so you don't have to release v6 in a couple days, etc.

No worries. I think all that is fixed in v5 and you shouldn't have any more problems of that nature in v4. We do other stuff with areas, but those are the only links to new ones IIRC (for BG2 anyway).
