Hello again everyone!
This week, British-born & Australian-based Zero Punctuation reviews Mass Effect 2. I've yet to see it, since I've been waiting for it to load for about 15 minutes(and haven't figured out what gives yet <_< ), but if it's anything like his usual work, it should be good! ^_^
Enjoy! (and discuss, if you want)

Zero Punctuation reviews Mass Effect 2

Edit: Finally got around to watching it, and I'm glad to say that he does acknowledge that the writing is good, the immersion is there, but that there still are a couple of weak points (mining planets for minerals, anyone? *snore*).
The last comment especially had me cracked up: "'Lazarus Project'? Wow, bet that took a whole meeting to come up with"

Yeah, he does seemed to have not hated it as much as he pretty much hates everything else.

Can see what he meant by scanning planets, but to be honest I actually liked that *shrug* Much better than driving that bloody Mako, at least.

My only annoyance was with him complaining about the game being too easy. Complaining about a video game, with an increasable difficulty setting, being too easy is just plain silly to be honest. Obviously someone who left it on the default setting.

But he is still pretty damn funny. Best opening line ever! :-)

Zero Punctuation is very funny but he's not a very good reviewer, if we're honest. I mean, he even acknowledges that he's more interested in entertainment and that people shouldn't use what he says when they consider games.

Most amusing though.

Well to be fair, he was right about enemies being generally seen long before they find you and attack, as per typical battle RPG style of the current era - remedied only perhaps by the fact it is sometimes rather easy to die, though not always in the most self-respecting ways (as noted in some other reviews when it comes to cover controls). ;)

It's all the same to me, I don't usually concern myself with reviews. Entertaining, sure, but not that useful.

Oh absolutely, I've never based myself on his reviews when deciding whether or not to buy a game (I usually test it or ask friends for their opinion), but his reviews are sometimes fun. ^_^ His bashing of the planet scanning was utterly predictable though: it can get pretty tedious, but maybe I'm just saying that because I've been scanning them all afternoon. ^_^
I agree with Dark-Mage's comment regarding his criticism of the game's difficulty: let's see how he does when he cranks it up to "Insane", and then we can talk! ;)
But yeah, it's kinda surprising that he didn't absolutely hate it, considering his dislike of RPGs.
