Hi I just installed this mod but I have been playing bg2 for along time and played it through many many times, I was wondering if there is a place I can go to see a listing of who I need to talk to and where I need to go to access the new content added by this mod.

I don't think anyone has written a walk-through for CtB. For now, the best path is to search this forum for any specific questions you may have.

I dont want a walkthrough per say just where to find the people to access the new areas for example I dont want to have to walk around talking to every random person in amn to find the new quests and areas

Then you don't want this mod, because that's exactly what the developer wants players to do.

I would think that what the developer would want would be for as many people to play and enjoy his mod as possible. I am finding the mod enjoyable so far and I don't want to miss out on any of it. I don't really find the idea of spending 4 hours talking to every npc AGAIN enjoyable however. I don't really see why a spoiler on where to start the quests would be such an offensive thing. No one HAS to use it and I know that myself, and probably many others, would very much enjoy having something like that.

You will miss out on content because a lot of it is class specific and gender specific too with mages so you will not be able to get everything the mod offers in one playthrough. For example, you can't do the hidden quests for Rangers and mages, it is one or the other.

Quests areas like the Academy of Kuldin and Hlondeth are open to all and you can feel free to explore those areas and the adventures/quests within. Some quests do happen in familiar areas like Copper Coronet, Temple Dist. or Gov't district. Sort of a low spoiler hint. :)

EDIT: There has been a French walkthrough written and is still in construction. Not all problems mentioned exist in the latest version, hopefully :crying: but it gives a good idea where to start some things if you just want a "heads up" for quests.

You can use Google or Yahoo to translate it pretty well if you don't know French ;)

Thank you very much the french walkthrough will do nicely for my purposes, and I will see all the content because I am planning to play through as many times as it takes :P

You would think wrong, at least in terms of this mod.

Some authors readily admit that they create mods for their enjoyment. If you as a player like it too, bonus; but that wasn't their intention. This is one such mod.

I don't really see why a spoiler on where to start the quests would be such an offensive thing. No one HAS to use it and I know that myself, and probably many others, would very much enjoy having something like that.

Spoilers are not prohibited; in fact they are readily available - in this forum.

The search function doesn't work, but just use Google, put in you search terms, and add site site:shsforums.net at the end of each query.

You can help us all by writing a full fledge walk-through.

Well if he made it for his own enjoyment and our enjoyment is only a bonus, he shouldn't care how I choose to enjoy using it. We all have our own ways of playing games and the things about playing them that we like. In this instance my Preferences didn't coincide with the maker of this mod. I respect that perhaps he didn't intend for a walkthrough to be used, perhaps he thought it would more exciting and adventurous that way. Really though, speaking for myself personally, I have played this game through with and without various mods over 50 times and at this point the excitement and adventure of randomly walking around talking to npcs I have talked to dozens of times before is wearing thin. I like my playthroughs to be smooth and speedy. If you or the maker of this mod has some sort of problem with that I am sorry, but really why should you or anyone else care about the way I choose to spend my time.

As for writing a walkthrough I will take that into consideration. I have never tried to write one before, but new experiences are what life is all about.

Then please don't come into my thread and post irrelevant unhelpful comments about what mods I should and should not use.
