Hello, I tried the mod "check the bodies" but, when I want to install it (in french ), the progam tell me that:

SET_STRING 73245 out of range 0 -- 62169
Stopping installation because of error.

ERROR Installing [Check The Bodies], rolling back to previous state
Will uninstall 518 files for [SETUP-CTB.TP2] component 0.
Uninstalled 518 files for [SETUP-CTB.TP2] component 0.
ERROR: Failure("SET_STRING out of range")
PLEASE email the file SETUP-CTB.DEBUG to Charles Bisson, King Diamond (revision)

Are you installing the Gibberlings 3 Baldur's Gate II fixpack before installing CtB. Also Are you installing the official ToB patch 26498?

So if you try installing

1) full game with absolutely clean installation

2) apply ToB official patch 26498

3) Gibberlings 3 BGII fixpack (not the Tweak pack)

4) Check the Bodies

Do you still get the error?

I wont be able to tell you... I did not have ToB The site where I found the mod was not telling that it needed it...

Now, I must find an other mod to improve BG2-SoA. Do you have an idea of what I could install? Is The Big Picture available for only SoA?

Big Picture usually goes well with the megamods that are for ToB. You may be able to install some aspects of BP but the Ascension and Demogorgon components will need ToB. Some of the NPC mods are only for SoA like Fade but I don't know any of the current mega mods versions that are for SoA only.

Maybe it is time to get ToB so you can play more mods

Did you try calling used software and game stores and maybe asking or searching? Amazon.com in US has a lot of new versions of the software for pretty good prices and I am sure Europe may have some too. We have to buy all the ones that are overstocking the stores before it justifies more being made and shipped out. Some of these may be used but very good condition and you can mount a copy using a virtual drive or Daemon tools etc.

Unfortunately, no Download-able versions

EDIT: Found one but the link doesn't do anything. It was at download.cnet.com for $30.00. Too much $$$$ for my tastes.
Sometimes you can find those really cheap in used game stores and then make a virtual copy so you never really need the CD.
