Hi everyone i am very new to the site and know nothing about modding, but i am hooked on BG2 atm and was wondering if anyone knew of a mod that allows you to summon a thief (either item or spell) that can disarm traps and pick locks , i would love a mod like this to make playing through the game with say a solo monk or fighter more realistic any help would be appreciated.

You also should check out this Altered Knock spell
But only if your char is able cast arcane spells.

If he wanna play fighter or monk, how he's supposed to cast this spell anyway?

Uh, right. Fighters can't cast spells from scrolls either. Duh, self.

Solution 1: use potion-swapping to dupe and cast the spell from the scroll.
Solution 2: a component of bg2tweaks from g3 removes all traps and locks from the game, so it should fill the bill.

Solution 3: install this on top of Dutka, then buy the wand from Gorch instead.

Nothing fancy, just a wand that casts "Dutka's Thief Summoning" 5x/day and "Dutka's Greater Thief Summoning" 2x/day, and I'm pretty sure I managed to get it useable by anyone. Make sure you have Dutka installed first, though, as it uses the resources installed by that mod.

or you could just install Tortured Souls it has a ring somewhere in it that can summon a shadow thief (I have never found it I just used Shadowkeeper to get it it also has Black Knight and White Bishop chess pieces I can find those, the black knight summons a lvl 15 beserk warrior and the white bishop a priest about the same lvl as the knight).
