Sorry, to bother all (especially you, Jarno.). :whistling:

Okay, long story short: I want a code a small mod for BG2, but seem to run a slight problem. Both Infinity Explorer and Near Infinity can't give mt the exact coordinates in the areas. I even tried manually (through the game itself), but it crashes when I try MoveToArea code.

Tried DLTCEP, too; but it doesn't want to start even. Are there any more Infinity Engine browsers? Or what do you press to reveal the coordinates in the IE - because it shows the whole area, both with triggers and blocks, but doesn't show coordinates.

IETME (IE Tileset Map Editor) will give you coordinates.

Her skin was white as leprosy.

Who thicks man's blood with cold.

As Solaufein answered the real question...

I take my privilege and ask...

How did you set it up? The DLTEP needs to have a .dat files that are only available from here(the direct download link). It also might need the chitin.key reference in the Setup.

Just read somewhere, that's a really good IE editor, to I But tried it out. Found it at g3, near the IESDP.
Ok, downloaded it: successfully installed and ran it. But when I try to load the original area, it says 'biff is located on put CD in drive e:/' I tried to insert all bg disks after each es to continue.

Well, you have to have the game with a "full install" to see the files...

Uh-huh. If I didn't have a full install, how on Earth, BGT installed, hmm? 'Please, enter the full path for Baldur's gate I directory.' making a NPC is *so* much harder, than assigning a simple teleportation script.

Then again, I'm just a *very* novice at the whole coding thing.

Words of advice to anyone that plays games or mods games. With the current technology of large hard drives, always do a full install of the game. Once the game is installed, create a directory called backup some where on computer. Copy your game to that folder this way you always have a backup of the game in case the other one gets screwed up. Backups are handy especially if you plan to install a bunch of mods in the game.

I don't know how BGT works so I don't know how the tools will work on it. Preferences>Game Path > C:\Games\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate or where ever your game is at. File > Open Original Area From Game select your area and it should open up. Inserting the CD of where the BIFF is at should work.
