Im fairly new to playing this game and i am learning bit by bit. On my records page i have armour class modfiers.

Missle -1

Piercing -1

Slashing -2

Do these numbers relate to me hitting an enemy or are these against me? need this explained to me. I use a short sword which im am profient with i also have a ninja -to which for some reason does not hit enemys that often.

They against your character... you most likely have a Stubbed Leather Armor... and those AC modifiers are so called "hidden AC" bonuses, the first table here is a list of all of them... so the full AC armor provides is the base + the hidden AC. There's also Belts that provide this sort of AC bonuses.
And you do know that the lower the AC is, the better it is, in BG2(&BG1&IwD1).

ye i know the lower the better. Wow that was confusing. So the slashing and stuff is extra hidden bonus i may save against if an enemy is using that weapon against me? I take it the minus on the modifiers also is the lower the better? And yes i am using stubbed leather which give me an AC of 3. Normal leather gives me 5 i think. And how come it doesnt show the bludgeoning?

And how come it doesnt show the bludgeoning?

Because the bludgeoning AC is the AC you currently have...

And yes i am using stubbed leather which give me an AC of 3.

Then in that case... your AC against Missiles is 2, Piercing AC is 2, Slashing AC is 1, and Blunt AC is 3. And yes, the lower the better... as Thac0 is actually "To hit chance(difficulty) against AC zero", should you also know as the game system uses the d20 dize system...

Ok i read that but i still dont understand why bludgeoning is not show for my multis? And what number is it or is that the standard AC of my armour which is 3? im sure i understand the modfiers now. My AC 3 is against bludgeoning and the other modifiers are AC aginst those types of damage eg piercing damage is this correct?

I have a couple more question i hope you can helpe me with.

Ability bonuses.

To hit +1 is plus better in this case? Does this plus come from the profiency point i put into my short sword and short bow?

To damage is also +1

What's so hard to understand from this:

And yes i am using stubbed leather which give me an AC of 3.

Then in that case... and Blunt AC is 3.

???

So when the AC vs. attack form is not mentioned in the character record, it's "+/- zero the original AC"

Ok sorry i will try to word it better.

I mentioned my modfiers are missle, piercing, and slashing. In the link you sent bludgeoning was also a modifiers. But it doesnt show up on my records page under modifiers. My leather armour gives me an AC of 3. Is the 3 AC for bludgeoning?

My leather armour gives me a general AC of 3. Does that mean that the general 3 AC also means for bludgeoning?

Yes.

Näh, he is an idiot... erhm, I meant The Imp is an idiot. ;)
He is only that good because he copies the answers from others... and if he gets into trouble, he has to ask his own questions to answer them correctly. :P
