I've noticed that BWS looks for version 1.2 of this mod whereas the current version is 1.9. Is there a reason for this discrepancy? Assuming not, how can I use the updated version (on the assumption that it will be less glitchy, etc)?

Same applies to Volcanic Armory. I could fix that one myself, I think, if I knew what the Size bit corresponded to, though, since it's only 1 object, whereas the updated Check The Bodies hooks in what is in BWS supplied by 2-3 separate related mods.

Also, to avoid making a million threads --

I've noticed that SoA doesn't work because of a world map error:

NOT INSTALLED DUE TO ERRORS The Stone of Askavar

C:\Games\Black Isle\Baldurs Gate 2>

ERROR: [worldmap.wmp] -> [Override] Patching Failed (COPY) (Failure("Semantic error in TP2 code (first ext-north-link check failed)"))
ERROR: Failure("Semantic error in TP2 code (first ext-north-link check failed)")
The Stone of Askavar (The Stone of Askavar (TSoA) v1.5) was not installed due to errors.
You can try to repair the problem and start the installation of the component again.
In this case please select "retry" after the repair.

Having done some research, it looks like this can happen if you're not installing Drizzt Saga as per this information (which I MAY not be, as I think it conflicts poorly with other mods or something):

If you want to install SoA but not Drizzt Saga you must copy this line

%IFNS%drizztsaga%IFIF%soa.exe copy /Y ".\BiG World Fixpack\_override\drizztsaga\worldmap.wmp" ".\override" | %M%

in this part of the Install.bat

%IFES%SirinesCall%S%SirinesCall%L%0%SK% 0 | %M%
%IFGS%SirinesCall%S%SirinesCall%L%3%SK% 0 | %M%
%IFNS%drizztsaga%IFIF%soa.exe copy /Y ".\BiG World Fixpack\_override\drizztsaga\worldmap.wmp" ".\override" | %M%
%IFS%soa%S%soa%L%0%SK% 0 | %M%

But, err, I'm not sure where to find Install.bat in the BWS folder? I guess I'm not looking in the right place, or it's been renamed in the 2 years since that bit was posted?

It looks for 1.12 and not 1.9 since 1.12 is the latest verion.

VA is not fetched because the modder uploaded it on a server that needs some interaction that the BWS does not provide (clicking on buttons, waiting a few seconds).

The BWSs mod-configuration was under Leomars maintenance but he's taking a longer timeout and I also had no time for BWS-updates in the last few weeks. So that may be something that's left to do.
Edit the BiG World Setup\Config\Select.txt. See the BiG World Setup\Docs\Faq.htm for details.

OK, it looks like it's Select.ini instead of install.bat. If so, it looks like the problem is here:

STD SirinesCall 0 1111
CMD IF EXIST Setup-SOA.exe IF EXIST Setup-NeJ2.exe copy /Y ".\BiG World Fixpack\_override\worldmap\*.*" ".\override"
STD SOA 0 1111

So...I'm assuming the "then" of the "if-then" is to skip the line? I'm pretty sure I'm not using NeJ at all, so it seems like nothing should happen here. What's up? Syntax error somewhere? Or am I looking in the wrong place?

Well, whatever the problem was, it was fixed by doing what Leomar recommended here:

http://forums.chosen...g16748#msg16748

So, ye know, for what it's worth.

If there is good reason to believe that his recommended intervention will make the world explode, please inform me of the fact. :)

You are right, the IF-statement for NEJ2 was to much and seems like it was first inserted in BWS_9-20100530. I don't know exactly why though since Leomar started to take care of the config-files.

Don't get my wrong: I don't want to blame him and I'm really grateful for what he's done in the past and I hope he is willing to help some more in the future. I just see that he included it first in his mail from 19.05.2010 and I don't know the reason for that since I cannot ask him since he is taking a longer timeout for personal reasons.

That statement has never made it into the Installpack, so I guess it's just a flaw.
