I've been in the DSOTSC last dungeon and gathered quite many drow objects.

When I came out, they should have been destroyed, but they didn't.

I discovered that the drowitemcheckdone variable, in the last save before exiting from the underdark, was set at 2 (and I don't know why, I didn't find a script which changed it), whereas the script which destroyed the items expected it to be 0.

I'm not sure, either, that it is set back to any other offset if I enter the underdark again, and I don't know whether exiting from the entrance in ar3200(?) would destroy the items, if I don't go to the bandit camp any more.

edit: I think it's modified by baldur.bcs and baldur25.bcs; what are those scripts?

Well, those are the scripts that run all the time, well, the baldur.bcs runs in BG1 and BG2 part of the game, while the baldur25.bcs runs in the ToB game. Now then, there might actually be a timer on how long the items last in the sun light, as some mods modify the actions so they are not instantly destroyed, but set a timer that counts down and then destroys the items... when you are not in a "dungeon" area.

edit: you were right, I actually installed the tweak which makes the process slower, but I completely forgot about it. Thank you anyway

anyway, I'm still not sure that everything's right; in SoA, when you exit the underdark, the game assumes that it is the first time, but if you have played dsotsc, your drowitemcheckdone variable is already at 1, and the items are not destroyed in ar2500

I think you have to reset the global manually after returning from the underdark in AR2500 since the scripts have already run. The way I do it is reset the variable back in the transition area script from BG1 to BG2 which is ARAM00.BCS I think so I don't have to use the console.

I also thought that something like that could be useful; anyway, dsotsc should add that too

Erhm, erhm, how were you exactly going to add that into the DSotSC ? As the BGT uses the ARAM00.BCS in the transition form BG1 to the BG2... as that's the only place the kind of command can be used(command that zeroes all the locals and global variables) to not stab you with a pickaxe because the missions are not done in the given point the DSotSC would do this... so the BGT takes care off this on it's own, even when the DSotSC doesn't...
