Playing through a new game in BiG World; Lucky Aello's shop in Baldur's Gate includes a cursed scroll for which the name includes the entire description of the Short Sword of Backstabbing. A little poking about with Shadowkeeper reveals that the actual scrl17 item has been overwritten.
Any ideas on a fix or workaround?

I get this in my game too. A WeiDU --change-log reveals it's probably from the Baldurdash Fixpack v168. (MixMod touches it too but only to change stacking.) The cause in question is around line 9112 in Setup-BDToBv168.tp2:
On a larger level, I have to wonder why the BWP version of BD installs any of the text updates at all. It kind of negates the BG2Fixpack's text update, particularly Wisp's "lite" version which I think is selected by default.
It's not possible to fix a game in-progress without hackery or installing a mini-tp2 to fix the STRING_SET again. Not that that's too tough, but I would just ignore it - it's cursed so you don't want it anyway (not like the greenish skull-and-crossbones on it gives it away or anything). For a new game, you could comment out that line before installing the mod (or indeed all the text updates unless they're really necessary - put a /* before and a */ after them).
This probably belongs in the megamod forum rather than IE general.
